It was only after the vampire called Vincent was leaving that Grey realised he had been holding his breath. As he exhaled quietly, his shoulders relaxed and he unclenched his fists. That had been a very awkward and dangerous meeting. Grey peered down at the business card with severe apprehension; wondering just how big a mess he had just got himself into. Grey had been a loner for many years now, whoever this Vincent was he knew of his past... knew what he was capable of. It was the only possible reason for wanting to recruit him. Grey felt Alex watching him and turned to look at him. He wondered if the werewolf would have been so eager to stand by his side if he knew the whole story about him. At some point Grey was going to have to be honest with his new acquaintance... but not tonight.
“The sun will be up soon. I need to be getting back.” Grey said simply, pausing to pick up Vincent's calling card. He regarded it for a moment before tucking it into the breast pocket of his black shirt.
Gone was the child-like moment of glee they had both shared before arriving to this moment. As they headed back to Grey's apartment, the vampire no longer rode upon the beast's back. They moved side by side in silence.
Arriving back in Grey's home, the vampire removed Vincent's card from his pocket and threw it down on the table. “That B*stard has been watching me... probably has some way of keeping an eye on me in my own f*cking home.” Grey snapped, pacing the room like a madman. He had no intention of working for this Vincent character, but Alex's life hung in the balance.
“I have no right to ask of you... but do you have a place I can stay? Just for the day then I'll be out of your way, I promise.” Grey said, then he picked up Alex's clothes and placed them on a chair for him. “Sorry, you may want to change.” He turned his back to give his companion some privacy while he shed his wolf form and folded his arms, frowning into his thoughts...

Alex's wolf didn't know what to do. He wanted to change back and just hold Grey but knew that he couldn't do something so foolish. Not with that lunatic watching them. Still he felt the need to do something to help his friend. He didn't want Grey to fall into the hands of that madman. So, he was going to do whatever it took to help him.
When they got back to Grey's home Alex's wolf tilted his head as he watched Grey in a blind rage. Alex was about to move forward when Grey turned to him and when Grey asked about a place to stay and then just up and leaving him, Alex had a few things to say about that. So, when Grey turned his back Alex began to transform back to his human form.
As Alex slipped on his jeans he grabbed hold of Grey's arm and forced him to turn towards him. "I am not going to let you do this!" Alex's expression was of concern and fear more of Grey then himself. He cared. God help him how he cared about the man before him. "I'm not going to just stand by and let this man try to control you. We can figure this out Grey. Together like you said." He voice was low now and was almost pleading with Grey as he whispered, "Please."
Never had he felt like this towards anyone or felt a connection because lords only knows what this was he felt for Grey. He didn't know what it was but he would be damned to let Grey go. Alex was all heart, loyal, brave, and a good man. In a world like this he knew it was hard to come by even with him being so young. He was all about fighting for what he knew was right now he wanted to fight at Grey's side. If Grey was still going to try and leave him, Alex would never stop until he found him again. They were in this together now and nothing was going to keep them apart if Alex had any say in it. So, he made sure he would.
......
Vincent made his way back to his home and as he entered he smiled as he scent picked up someone he hadn't seen in such a long time. When he entered his study he saw the man sitting in one of his black leather chairs with a glass of blood in his hand.
He raised the glass as he Vincent walk in and said, "Been a long time Vince. How have you been?"
Vincent was not expecting the elder vampire this soon but with what had happened today he was sure someone informed him of what had perspired just a few hours ago. "I've been good. How is you and yours?" Vincent walked over to the other chair opposite the elder vampire and sat and crossed his legs while a smirk lay upon his face.
The elder vampire took a drink of the blood in his glass and then looked to the other vampire as he said, "Their good. Everyone is good."
Vincent nodded then sighed. He was done with playing this game with elder vampire. "I'm not backing down. It's not my problem you turned him away! He will belong to me and you can't do sh!t about it!"
The elder vampire's expression was one of boredom. "Oh, come now Vince. It's not about him and you know it. Leave him out of this and I am sure you and I can come to an arrangement we both can be happy with."
Vincent's expression went dark as he narrowed his eyes at the elder vampire as he snarled, "You had your chance when I came to you for help. You turned me away! Do you remember that?! I do! And no thanks to your granddaughter that my father was taken from me! This has everything to do with him! You can't stop this Count. It's already set in motion!"
The Count sent his glass down on the side table and then turned back to Vincent. "I am sorry you feel that way. I was hoping to persuade to your better judgment but I can see I was mistaken." The Count stood along with Vincent. Both men stared each other down before The Count spoke again while his features slightly darken. "If you touch him I swear to you Vince I will kill you."
Vincent couldn't help but chuckle. "Oh, come now. We both know you don't have it in you. Not after your history between you and my father. God, what would he say! You swore to look after me!"
"But, he is my family and family comes first," The Count said his voice flat.
Vincent's eyes narrowed on The Count again. "He will belong to me and there isn't anything you can do. Now, get the hell out of my house!"
The Count sighed knowing that there was nothing more he could say that would change Vincent's mind on this matter. He turned and headed for the door then stopped and looked back. "I promise you Vince. If you touch him..."
Vincent's eyes went dark as he bared his fangs. "Get. Out." he hissed.
The Count just shook his head and walked out not looking back as he entered his black car and then dialed his phone.
Vandock answered on the second ring. "Well?"
"He won't back down," The Count said with a little more concern in his tone then he had in front of the other vampire.
"What do you...we do then?" Vandock asked matching the same tone of concern as he did his father.
"I can't do anything V. I'm not allowed too."
"But, father. He is my..."
"I know my son but I can't help him," The Count said with a sigh.
"What if I..." Vandock began to say then his father cut him off.
"I can't tell you what to do my son. Just know I can't help him directly."
Silence.
"I will call you later," Vandock said then hung up.
The Count looked at his phone then placed it back in his pocket. He was sad that he had to do this this way. That he couldn't help the boy but if he did then all hell would break lose but he could not control his son. Hopefully Vandock could do something to help but he knew it wouldn't be right away. They had to play this smart so hopefully Vandock would turn to someone to help the boy to get him out before Vincent got his hands on him. He could only hope.
.....
Vincent walked over to his desk and turned on his computer. After a few minutes Grey's monitor came into focus as he watched Alex now back in his human form and looking very intently at his vampire once more. He wasn't happy with what he was seeing between the two of them. It made him very curious and he wanted to know, why? Maybe he would take his vampire's pet just for the hell of it and see what made him tick. That thought was very amusing one to him and decided he would do just that.

Grey looked down at Alex's hand as the young werewolf grabbed his arm. He frowned and nearly jerked his limb from his grip, but one look at Alex's face and he relaxed. The werewolf was plainly honest in his intentions and he could see he was a very honourable and trustworthy character. If Grey's heart still beat it would have probably broken right there and then at the pure goodness displayed in someone who barely knew him. The tragedy was it couldn't last in a world like this... something would eventually ruin Alex and change him, perhaps that fateful event would happen even sooner if he stayed in Grey's company... but the vampire needed him. Perhaps he needed the werewolf right then more than he had needed anyone in his life.
“Together then,” Grey agreed, his voice a low whisper to match Alex's. He smiled slightly and put his hand over Alex's, giving it a gentle squeeze. “Let me grab some things before we leave. Whatever we decide to do for the long run it would be best to be away from Vincent's eyes.”
Grey removed Alex's hand from his arm and quickly started packing his belongings into a travel bag. He regretted having to leave his art collection behind, he had some abstract art paintings he was very fond of.
Throwing the strap of his bag over one shoulder and draping his coat over his arm he smiled slightly at Alex. “Lead the way.”...

Alex smiled softly as Grey agreed for them to remain together on this because he swore he would not leave his now good friend to his fate. Or was he his best friend? He smiled a little bigger at the thought as he pulled his shirt back on and slipped his shoes back on. Alex turned and looked at Grey who was staring at some art work. His friend looked upset to leave it behind. 'Maybe I can come back for it,' Alex thought to himself. Alex wanted Grey to feel like where they were going was like home as Grey made him feel here and he would do his best to do so.
As Grey told him to lead the way, both men exited the building. They began to walk east towards the side of town where their was a well known werewolf clan that claimed that part of the city. He could tell Grey was a little nervous about the whole thing and could smell he was anxious about it all not knowing what will happen now.
Alex wanted to say something, anything to help Grey but he wasn't really for sure what to really say. "Uh..." Alex began as they kept walking, "I'm glad we met."
'Even if it was you saving my life,' Alex thought frowning at his spoken words.
"I promise you Grey that I want to fight at your side. Nothing will keep me away to help." However he also wanted to add 'To help keep you safe and sound from the world and to keep you to myself.' But, he didn't. He sighed. "In the mean time I will let my clan know what is happening and I am sure they will keep watch." At least that is what he hoped for. He was for sure how they would react with him bringing a vampire home but he didn't much care. Grey was special to him and he found he needed him.
He wasn't for sure what more to say to his friend and hoped maybe Grey would saying something more. 'Maybe something personal?' Alex asked in his head. 'We need to get to know each other. It's always a good place to start.'
................
Vincent now understood. There was some kind of bond happening between the two and for some reason it was really pissing him off. 'How dare he' he thought hissing in his mind. 'He belongs to me. He is mine!' Vincent watched as Grey grabbed his things and then followed Alex out the door. He had a few men keep an eye on the pair and learned they were heading east. This made Vincent angry. He needed to figure out a way to get his vampire all to himself and maybe he really had to use his pet to do it. Which meant he would have to wait. God he hated that too. Maybe he could send them a message because he knew if he went for them now it would end horribly. No, he had to bind his time just a little while longer but maybe he would go after another clan of mutts to show them that he was serious about all this. 'Maybe his pet would hate him afterwards,' Vincent thought to himself as he smiled. 'One could only hope so.' He picked up his phone and was going to set the plan in motion in hoping he would have his vampire sooner then later because it would be worth it in the end.
.......
Vandock made another phone call and he really hated that he had to make this phone call. The man on the other end picked up on the second ring. His Irish accent cooed out a purr as he said, "Victor Graham here. How can I assist you today?"
Vandock wasn't happy to hear the other vampires voice. This man was no good but he always did a job well done when paid. "Victor isn't me," Vandock said his tone flat.
"Oh, V darling. So, good to hear from you. It's been so long my love. How have you been?"
Vandock felt his body shiver at the sound of the smooth Irish voice as it spoke to him so lovingly. He hadn't spoken to Victor in over 10 years. The man was evil and played for both sides but always at a price. You must give before you took and Vandock hated the price he always had to give. "I've been better," His voice still flat. "Listen I am just going to come forth with why I am calling. I need your help but no one can know."
He could hear Victor gasp but it was a playful kind of gasp like he was shocked to hear these words. 'Always the drama queen' Vandock thought to himself. "Oh, this sounds interesting. What may I ask is this about love?"
"I can't tell you over the phone. We must meet." God he felt his stomach turning in knots. He never wanted this man to touch him again but it was for him. He had to protect him and this was the only way he thought he knew how. Vandock just had to swallow his pride and be done with it.
"Oh, I knew this day was going to be a good one when I woke up this morning but never had I thought or even dreamed it was because of you V darling. I'd been honored for you to come see me baby. You know where to fine me."
Vandock sighed. God why? Why did he have to do this? "I will be there within the hour."
"See you then my love," the Irish voice purred as the line went dead.
Vandock hated this. Hated he had to go to this man to be able to get to him. But it was the only way. He had to do this because he couldn't get help anywhere else. He had to be sneaky about it to get to him and this was the only way. He just hoped he wouldn't be to late.

Grey walked beside Alex and listened to the werewolf's words. As much as he was grateful to him for all his help, he was curious as to why the werewolf would risk so much to help him when he could just walk away. Was he playing the heart strings of this young changeling so artfully that he was smitten with him? Grey used his powers to sometimes arouse an absolute devotion from his chosen thrall of the moment... but so far he hadn't tried anything like that over Alex.
“It may be wise to watch what you say to your 'clan'.” Grey warned. “Not all of them would be as hospitable to me as you are my friend.” Grey snorted and smiled. He raised his head to gaze at the stars as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “Friend... is that what we are?”
Suddenly Grey grabbed Alex's arm and pulled him out of the street into a narrow alleyway hidden in shadow. Before the boy could utter a sound of protest he slammed him roughly against a wall by his throat. He pressed his own body up against his, pinning him there and hissed at him, showing his fangs.
“Am I really the friend you want? A blood sucking vampire? Can you really stand to share your company with a creature like me?” His pale lilac eyes zeroed in on the thick, pulsing vein on the side of Alex's neck. “Oh nice,” he purred and leaned his head forward, as if to take a bite... instead he ran his tongue out against Alex's flesh and licked up along his throat to the side of his face. The nature of his hold on the werewolf relaxed and he no longer gripped him, but his body remained pressed against him, pinning him to the wall.
Straightening his head back up, he found himself looking into Alex's eyes, their faces inches apart. “Why are you helping me?” He asked softly, his gaze began to search Alex's face...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The head of the Count's security detail, a young human male called Kolt, found himself wearing a cheeky wry smile on his boyishly handsome features as he came into the main hall to greet a guest to his master's mansion.
“Well well well, look what the cat dragged in.” Kolt spoke, folding his arms dismissively. He was confident when greeting this particular vampire, more so by his entourage of more than a dozen heavily armed men.
The breathtakingly beautiful blonde woman wore a tight-fitting white outfit that showed off her curvaceous figure and a pair of black shades hid her eyes from view. But there was no mistaking the woman's identity... Amelia Von Cartesian. Sister to the late Drake Von Cartesian. A homicidal madman who once nearly destroyed the world in preparation for his own designed kingdom. Once a powerful and well respected vampire, Amelia, desgraced from her brother's actions, was now friendless.
“Oh look, the Count's orphaned pet.” Amelia chortled, placing her hands on her wide hips. “Is the Lord of the house in? I wish to visit an old friend.”
“He's out... but he should be returning before long.” Kolt told her. “I'll let him know you are here and have great pleasure throwing you out upon his request.”
Amelia scowled but bit back a retort. She knew too well she may not be welcome here... but she was running out of options...

Alex was about to agree with Grey about them being friends when the vampire suddenly grabbed him and dragged him into a dark alley pinning him against a wall. The vampire pressed his body up against Alex's which made the young wolf's eyes grow wide. As Grey hissed into his ear Alex was not prepared for the vampire to suddenly lick his neck. It sent shivers up and down Alex's spine but surprisingly in a good way or at least he thought so. He bit his tongue to keep from moaning as Grey now looked him in the eyes.
The vampire demanded to know why he was helping him. Alex tilted his head at the suddenly outburst and found his brow frowning at the vampire. "You saved my life," Alex began his voice soft as his eyes looked back into Grey's. "You didn't have to and yet you did. I am grateful for that and want to help you. To protect you as you protected me." He paused searching for a sign on Grey's face that he agreed with this. "You could have killed me at anytime and I you for that matter and yet here we are. I can't explain what I feel, I mean, I just want to be around you. Please Grey you must believe that I don't want to harm you and if you wanted to harm me you would have done so by now." He felt his gaze drop to Grey's mouth for a moment. Looking at his fangs and wondered what it would be like to kiss that mouth of his. Shaking that from his thoughts he smiled softly at Grey as he made his voice soothing. "So, yes you are my friend and I will do anything for you."
He felt a another shiver run up and down his spine. Grey's intense stare was doing a little more for him again and he closed his eyes trying to focus on calming himself down. Now, wasn't the time for this, was it? There was a madman out to get Grey and he had to keep focus on that. He had to protect his friend no matter the cost and with all that has happened he never even once asked himself why. Why did he have to protect this vampire? He just knew and felt that he had too. Something screamed at him that he must and that nothing was going to tare him away from Grey as long as he was still alive. He promised to always be with him not matter what.
.......................................
Vincent walked into the bar and smiled at the sight before him. Five were already dead, shot with silver bullets to the chest, one male mutt lay on the floor with a bullet wound in his leg snarling from the pain. A blonde and a redhead mutts sat next to him trying to keep calm and hugging the male mutt like he could still protect them from him. Vincent shook his head and his full attention was on the injured male mutt.
"I am just wanting to send a little message is all. Can you do that for me?" Vincent purred as he smiled from ear to ear.
The male mutt spit at him. "Go to hell!"
Vincent looked down at his shoes where the spit at landed. Shaking his head he lifted his foot and stepped onto the wound of the mutt forcing a scream out of him. The two young female mutt's began to cry unsure of what to do. Vincent removed his foot as the smile suddenly vanished from his face. "Tie them up."
Suddenly the two female mutt's were dragged away as they were tied down to the bar. The male mutt looked back tilting his head as he watched in horror of what was happening to them. He looked back at the vampire standing before him. "Please," the male mutt began to cry, "Don't do this. I will do anything you ask. Please, just let them go."
Vincent never took his eyes off the male mutt as a smile reappeared back on his face. He then knelt down so their eyes were level with one another. "But, I only need one to deliver my message."
The male mutt's eyes grew wide with shock and fear. He then tried to move towards the vampire but strong hands suddenly grabbed hold of him and lifted him to his feet. The male mutt screamed in protest but they weren't slowing down. They turned him to see one of the vampires pouring something from a can all over the girls on the bar and the floor around them. The male mutt began to fight as he smelled what it was. Gasoline. "Oh, god no!" The male mutt shouted as they turned him back to face the vampire leader in the very nice custom made suit.
"I want you to repeat this message for me. Can you do that?" Vincent asked his eyes locked onto the male mutt's.
The male mutt's eyes closed as he lowered his head in defeat. Nodding slowly he looked back up at the vampire before him and snapped, "What is it?"
Vincent took a step forward so his body was almost touching the male mutt's which he saw made the mutt flinch. He smiled as he licked his lips loving the smell of his fear. "I want you to repeat this...'I am tired of waiting. If you do not come to me of your own free will than what happens next you will not be able to forgive yourself...' I want you to repeat that message to any and all who will listen to you. Now, do you think you can remember that mutt?"
The male mutt repeated it and Vincent patted him on the head as he chuckled. "There's a good boy." He turned and walked out of the bar with the vampires dragging the male mutt out with them. Vincent snapped his fingers as the building suddenly was in golfed with flames. There was female screams coming within the burning building which was making the male mutt scream back.
He looked up at the vampire from the ground as he growled, "I'm going to kill you!"
Vincent snickered at the remark as he kept his gazed fixed on the burning building before them still hearing the female screams coming from within. "No, you wont but thanks anyway." Vincent turned and began to walk away when he couldn't hear any screaming anymore but stop when the male mutt yelled at him.
"I mean it you son of a b!tch! I'm going to f*cking end your..." before he could finish his sentence the leader of the vampires had his hand around the mutt's throat cutting off his air supplies.
"Let's make this perfectly clear. The only reason you're alive right now is to deliver my message. Sure I could deliver the message myself but you watched me murdered your friends and set them on fire. Their screams forever haunting your nightmares knowing there wasn't sh*t you could have done to save them. You're broken and with the silver in your leg, I don't think you will be able to walk again. So, if you think you have it in you mutt than by all means but know this. You're not what I want and if I see you again I will kill you." He pushed the mutt back forcing him to fall onto his back. The mutt looked up at the vampire unable to speak or move. Once again he turned his gaze away in defeat. "There's a good boy," Vincent purred as he stood and walked back to his car never looking back as he got in and it drove away as they all left leaving the male mutt there alone for someone to come along to help.
The male mutt could hear his pack off in the distance and thought to himself, 'Little to late.' He closed his eyes as he still laid back just listening to the ghosts of far off screams.
......................
As The Count stepped out of back of the car when his driver opened it, he had a funny feeling he knew who was waiting for him inside his own home. With a sigh he walked in and was greeted by his head of security and the face of a beautiful woman he hadn't seen in decades. He looked to Kolt and smiled at the young human as he said, "Leave us." He offered his arm out to the woman so she could wrap her around his and he asked, "Shall we?"
When she took the hint he guided her to his library. It was, in fact, his most chariest placed in his home and he lead her through the door and asked her to sit. When he closed the door behind him he walked over to his tray that had a bottle of scotch and poured two glasses. He turned and handed her one as he sat next to her on the black leather couch where she decided to sit. He took a sip as his gaze was forward as he tried to rack his brain on where to begin. It had been to long since they were last together and that night didn't end as happily as he had hoped it would have. With a sigh he turned towards her as he murmured, "It's been to long Amelia. I was being to think...Well, that's not important now since you are here. Which brings me to my next question of, why are you here?" He took another sip of his drink really wish it was blood but he did not want to give her that welcoming. Blood was a gift to family, friends and workers not for people who betrayed one's trust.
..................................
Vandock knotted on the door and heard a high pitched, "Come in!" It made Vandock hesitate as he shuttered at the thought of seeing this man again. Out of habit Vandock took in a deep breath and opened the door to hands suddenly grabbing him and pulling him into the room. He tried to fight them off but he couldn't. They pulled him over to a bed where he saw Victor lay upon it fully naked. Vandock turned his gaze away unable to look at the vampire.
"Oh, come now V darling," the Irish voice purred, "You of all people I know for a fact aren't modest of such things. Come sit with me love."
Vandock wanted to protest but the hands holding him almost threw him down on the bed. He looked back at them with anger but remained where he was. He than turned as he felt a hand on his cheek as he looked into Victor's eyes. God, he didn't want this but if he tried to back out now than it would cause even more waves then it was already doing.
"Leave me to my lover boys," Victor snickered as he saw Vandock shutter at his words, "I think he is going to be a good boy for me this time. He seems desperate." As the henchmen leave the room and close the door behind them Victor turns his attention to Vandock. "Now, sweetheart. Why, oh why, are you needing daddy's help, hm? You only come to me when you're father can't help you. So, tell me kitten. What can I do to help?"
Victor was running his hand through Vandock's hair which made Vandock's stomach turn. He didn't want this man's help. The man was horrible in more ways then one but given the right price he would help and get the job done without an issue or anyone knowing it was him. He had his own man power and money which was good and bad but he was useful. Which is why Vandock was here now. "I need you to retrieve someone for me without question."
Victor couldn't help raise an eye brow and a smile pulled at the corners of his lips. "Really now? That is unlike you V. Normally you don't need anyone for things like that."
"Well, for this I do. I can't go after him myself and I need it done as fast as you can."
Victor stared at Vandock's face for a moment studying it for any signs of...well it seemed Vandock was telling the truth of what he wanted. "Considerate done."
Vandock started to turned when he felt the hand in his hair tighten. He closed his eyes for a moment knowing now that payment must be given before any action could take place. He looked back up at Victor who was smiling from ear to ear.
"You know what I want lover," the Irish voice cooed. "Clothes off."
Vandock sighed as he felt the hand release him. As he stood he closed his eyes as he began to remove his clothes. Letting his underwear fall to the floor he looked back at Victor who was licking his lips hungrily at him. Vandock than moved back onto the bed when Victor waved him back on. In one swift move Vandock found Victor straddling him as they looked into the other's eyes.
"The man must be worth it for you to give yourself without a fight like you normally do. Why is that lover?"
"No questions asked, remember?" Vandock hissed as he felt his member rub against Victor's causing friction between them. He bit his tongue to hold back a groan because he didn't want to give any satisfaction to the lunatic.
Victor pouted as he said, "Fine. Fine. But, just know that right now you are mine. I get to do anything I want to you and you do without hesitation. Agreed?"
Vandock hesitated because he didn't want this. He didn't like the sound of that because if he agreed then he would be at the point of no return. But there wasn't anything he could do to help him. So he nodded as he whispered, "Deal."
Victor clapped his hands together as he took his member in his hand and put it and Vandock's opening. Vandock looked up horrified knowing that it wasn't lubed so this was going to hurt. Without warning Victor thrusts his hips forward driving his member deep as it would go into Vandock. Vandock let out a scream as he knew that the other vampire ripped him open.
"God, I love the sound of your screams V darling. I am sure you will grow to love it too."
Vandock closed his eyes as tightly as he could. Wishing and praying he was somewhere else but here but that was no good because the pain was to much. He felt Victor pull out a little than thrusts his hips forward again driving his member even deeper. It wasn't as bad this time because he felt something leaking out of him. Blood maybe? 'There's the lube,' he thought to himself. He just hoped that Victor wouldn't drag this out because they needed to get to him so he safe and out of harms way. He just had to bare through this and hopefully get Victor off soon. He shuttered at the thought but he had to do this and he would with no hesitation at all.

Grey smiled slightly at Alex's proclamation to do anything for his friend. Grey sure wasn't losing his vampiric touch to allure and seduce... yet he had the feeling Alex was already half way there before he exerted any of his powers.
“Such loyalty.” Grey sighed, smiling as he touched the side of Alex's face. “To make such a promise without need deserves a reward. You may name your reward when we get to our destination.”
Stepping back from Alex, Grey motioned for the werewolf to lead the way...
*****
Amelia sat when asked to do so, crossing her fine legs and leaning back comfortably. She raised an eyebrow at the scotch offered to her but took the beverage never the less... a good drink would calm her racing nerves. Disappointed it wasn't from the Count's impressive vineyard of blood, she readily knew what the offer of drink insinuated.
“It has been a while.” Amelia agreed, taking a sip of her fiery scotch. The burning liquor felt good on her parched throat. The Count asked her directly what she was doing here, she remembered he was never one to beat around the bush. “I'll be honest Count,” Amelia said, tucking her blonde hair behind her ear as she leaned forward to look directly at him. “I am short on friends... reliable friends. After my brother's famous diabolical scheme went sour... well, lets just say a lot of people seem to think I had some part in it. I have always supported Drake and gave him access to my resources, had I known he was going to attempt to destroy us all and recreate his own universe using that chosen one b!tch... well, I would have been less helpful. He used us, Count, he used us both and I am here looking to make sure we are still friends. I could certainly use an influential friend like you.”
Amelia drew out a simple silver smoking case from her clutch bag and removed a slimline cigarette. “Do you have a light?” She asked, smiling a little nervously as she waited to hear the Count's thoughts...

When Grey released him and turned away for a moment, Alex quickly fixed himself before moving on. In his mind, he was trying to understand what Grey meant by rewarding him. He was very curious and felt the need to ask but something in his mind kept him from doing so. All good things come to those who wait, He supposed then thought how that was a funny little saying but nodded to himself in agreement anyway.
They walked in silence for a little while, Alex lost in his thoughts on what more he could do to help his new friend, when he felt Grey’s eyes on him. How could he have felt that? Looking towards the vampire, Alex smiled and was delightfully surprised when Grey turned his gaze away, like a child that had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Alex snickered to himself at the reference. “I’m glad my werewolf didn’t tare you apart,” Alex blurted out, unsure of how to make light conversation. “It seems I fall victim to trusting easier than he does and is a better judge of character than I.” In short, if he didn’t one of us wouldn’t be here. “So, I am glad.”
As they walked into one of the many boarders of the Bay-wolf clan, two men appeared in front of them and three others appeared from behind them. Alex didn’t feel concern in the slightest as when a woman appeared from out of the shadows of the dark alley way from beside them.
“My dear sweet Alex, I’ve been so worried about you because I thought something bad must have happened to you when we showed up to find that dead wolf girl. I tried following your scent but then your trail died.” She walked over to Alex, throwing her arms around him and pulling him into her body. “Are you alright my dear?”
Even though Alex hated it when Anthea did this to him, treated him like he was her pet, he let her do it. It wasn’t bad. He did little things for her, like running an errand for her but that is as far as he would allow it, even though she wanted more. “As you can see I am fine.”
The other werewolves around them began to growl low in their throats. Alex looked around and saw them staring at Grey and he knew he had to say something. “Anthea this is Grey. He saved my life.”
Anthea pulled away and looked towards Grey. Her eyes narrowed as they trying burning a hole through the man. “A vampire?” She spat in disgust as she walked over to stand in front of him. “Why would a vampire help a werewolf unless that said vampire would be getting something back in return?”
“He is a good man no matter what he is. Not to mention my werewolf trusts him.”
Anthea snapped her gaze towards Alex. “You what?” She looked back at Grey, taking a full step forward as she invaded his space. Taking in a deep breath, Anthea sniffed Grey and her faced turned from disgust to anger and a bit of jealously. Leaning her lips towards his ear Anthea whispered, “He belongs to me you little sh*t . So, don’t even for one second think you have a chance in hell.” She snarled and back away slightly to looked into his eyes. She hoped she got her point across how naive Alex could be sense he brought a vampire here and it killed her that she could smell Alex’s scent on him. “Mine.” Then, her face twisted back into something more pleasant as she turned her attention back to Alex. “Well, my dear sweet boy, I will give him a pass sense he did save your life, alright?”
Alex beamed a little, and then tried to tone it down seeing the look on Grey’s face as he did so. “Yeah, uh, thank you.” Alex began to walk towards Grey and grabbed for his hand, pulling him along with him, trying to put space between him and Anthea. Now out of ear shot Alex realized he was still hanging onto Grey’s hand and released it with a lowering of his head. “Sorry about that. Anthea has always been so keen on me and I am not really sure why. I mean, she is the lead of the pack’s daughter, strong, attractive, but she really isn’t my type.”
They made their way over to a seven story apartment building and Alex welcomed Grey inside. Now, in his place (which was on the fourth floor) Alex turned towards Grey and said, “Make yourself at home.” Not really sure what more to say or do at the moment he went into the kitchen to see if he had anything to offer, however, he knew he didn’t. Not for a vampire at least, still he needed to make himself useful in some manner so he began to clean off the kitchen table that had papers covering the top of it that had writing on them, so if they did decided to sit at the table it wouldn’t be covered with a story he was working on.
……………..
The Count kept his face blank as he listened to Amelia words and only shift slightly when she had mentioned The Chosen One. He didn’t like she had called his granddaughter a b*tch but this woman did not know that little tid-bit, biting back a snarl of a comment, he kept his composer in check. It would ruin everything he had built if anyone (outside the few he did trust with it) would find out about it. That wouldn’t be a good thing. So, he kept quiet until she was finished and asked for a light.
The Count slowly stood, pulling down on his suit jacket, and walked over to his dresser at the far side of the room. He returned, holding down the button as a little flame danced across, he leaned it forward as she leaned the tip of her cigarette to the flame. He watched intently as she took a few buffs and blew out a ring of smoke, smiling up at him. “You were always one to give a little flare to everything you did my dear.” He released the button, his face still blank. “You could even make smoking look sexy.”
He returned to his spot back on the couch beside her and placed the lighter on the end table beside him. He turned his attention back on her. He noted how her pupils looked slightly blow, her breathing a little more hitched, and he could see her shifting slightly. Shee was playing him, teasing him, trying to get under his skin the way she knew how and he hated himself for what this woman always did to him. He turned his gaze away a moment thinking, God, if Pepper were still here, I wouldn’t be in this mess.
He leaned all the way back, crossing one leg over the other, trying to keep his voice a flat as possible as he looked back at her and said, “Saying “friend” is putting a meaning to it that we can actually tolerate each other’s company my dear. Not to mention I do not have friends. I have colleges and people who remain at arms link because they are afraid of me. They know what I capable of.” He raised an eye brow as he saw her lick her lips, taunting him. Stop that! “So, we are not friends and never will be but as a college their might be a shred of hope.” He let his face fall blank again as he asked yet again, the main question that still had been on his mind since she entered his home. “Now, with that said, I ask, why are you here? It’s obvious you need my help with something and if I deem it worthy enough, I might consider the option to help.”

“She's a hottie.” Grey agreed, then left it at that. Alex told him to make himself at home and then went to clean up.
“Please, you don't need to do that.” Grey said, standing beside him and reaching out to hold his wrist. His eyes dropped to what he was trying to tidy up. “Oh, this looks like a story. Something you have written?” Grey smiled and released Alex's wrist to sit down at the table. “What's it about?” Grey watched Alex's eyes, there was no sarcasm there or mockery, he was honestly interested in what Alex had been working on.
---------------------------------
Amelia tossed her head back and stubbed out her cigarette in the ash tray. She regarded him seriously but kept the hint of seduction with her fine legs crossed in front of her. “I need protection Count.” she said. “And I have a proposal for you... you like deals if I remember? I need a safe haven for myself and a small number of my minions. We need safe, PRIVATE lodgings. Now, what I have to offer in return... is ME. While we stay here I will act as one with your hareem. You may do anything you like with me. I am a skilled lover Count, you would enjoy it I can assure you.” While she had been talking she was undoing the buttons on the front of her suit. Finally she unclasped the last button and opened her garment to reveal a voluptuous body clad only in a skimpy little black lingerie number.
“What say you Count?”

Alex stopped what he was doing and instead began to rub the back of his head a little nervously. "I...Uh...Well, it's about a hero who wants to do right and help others. Kind of like The Chosen One does. She helps those in need so I try to lead by example and help others myself as well to follow in her footsteps." He paused to look down at the papers in his hands. "The hero however is a little conflicted. Most think I would write about a werewolf or a human or something along those lines but my story is about a vampire. He has done some offal things in his life time but he meets someone who he feels the need to turn his life around for. Who makes him a better person and wants to do right by them so he becomes a hero." Alex chuckled nervously. "It's pretty stupid thinking, huh?"
He wasn't sure what to make of what Grey would think of it. Maybe he would hate the idea and tell him he was an idiot like Anthea had. That was when he just shied away from her. She didn't understand anything except for power and control. That was not leader material to him. Not like Grey who now he realized sounded like his story in away. He suddenly blushed as he turned his back on the vampire.
..........
The Count stared at Amelia knowing his pupils must have dilated. He suddenly stood and walked over to stand in front of his roaring fireplace. 'Tell me what to do, Pepper. Please, tell me what to do,' He thought to himself. But suddenly there were claws wrapping around his waste as she lay her head on his back. He closed his eyes enjoying the other body against his even if it was cold. He missed Peppers warmth. Why did she choose to leave him?
"I...I don't want too. I hate you. I hate you more then you could ever know for what your family has done to mine but I also made a promise." He grabbed her hands and twisted around so her arms were crossed over the other. "I don't want anything from you," he grumbled as he back away from her. "I will let you stay here for nothing. Just make sure you and your men do not fall out of line. At the first sign of disrespect to any of my people I will not hesitate to hand you over to your fate. Do I make myself clear?"
He wanted her. God, he wanted to bend her over his leather couch and make her scream his name but he couldn't. Nothing was the same to him. Was he really in love that it hurt this much? It surprised him because he thought vampires didn't have a heart. But, he knew that wasn't true. He saved his granddaughter, his daughter, and his son. He had a big heart when it came to family and for the people who lived in his home. Everyone matter to him...at least they did. He turned back towards the fire and began lost in his thoughts with wondering if he would be able to make himself feel if he placed his hand into the blazing anger of the flames. Just to see if he could still feel something. It was a long shot but it was better than sleeping with his enemy, right?
........
Sir Max Roland arrived at the scene of the bar that was put out a just a few minutes prior. He couldn't understand why this would have happened. Why would a vampire come into their turf to do something so horrific as this? What was the point? Suddenly his cell phone began to ring as he watched the bodies of his fallen conrads being carried by him in body bags.
"This better be..."
Max was interrupted suddenly as Vincent said, "Hello, Sir Roland. I hope this isn't a bad time."
"Who is this and how did you get this number?" Max hissed into the phone.
"Oh, that's unimportant at this given moment."
"Then you are wasting my time and I have nothing more too..."
"I do want to express my condolences about your fall pups. Truly, I am sorry. But, sadly it was only fair sense one of yours took one of mine from me," Vincent mused.
Max eyes grew wide with shocked horror. "You...you son of a b!tch. When I found you I'm going too..."
But, Max was cut off once more as Vincent said, "Oh, please calm yourself, little puppy. All I want is my boy back unharmed and I promise I will let five of your pups go. How does that sound?"
Max brow furrowed. "I don't even know who you are. How do I know I have your word?"
"Well, I can tell you this. What happened tonight I will be sure to make it a repeat occurrence if my boy isn't returned to me soon." Vincent paused a moment before he added, "Do I make myself clear?"
Max turned his attention back to the bar that was no more. He closed his eyes and let out a defeated sigh. "I will find him and I will deliver him to you as long as you swear that you will have the five with you at a dropping point of my choosing."
Vincent chuckled darkly. "I like the way you think, little puppy. Alright. I will let you choose the drop off location. I'll be waiting for call, oh and please do hurry. I attend to get a little bored when I wait."
Max heard a female scream over the phone and could only assume the worst that it was one of his own.
"Tick...tock..." Then the line went dead.
Max stared at his phone for a moment when a young ginger haired man walked up to him. "Sir, is everything okay?"
Max turned to the ginger and said, "Where is Anthea? I need to speak with her at once."
"I am not sure, sir, but I will find her."
"See that you do. Go...NOW!" Max barked as he watched the young wolf rush away. He could only hope this wasn't a trap. Then he wondered why a vampire was invited on their turf to begin with. Anthea had a lot to answer for and hopefully he would find this vampire in a timely manner so no other of his people were harmed.
............
Victor rocked his hips slowly. "Ooh, V my darling, you feel so good. You feel so damn good, baby." He kept thrusting slowly and savored the pain on the Vandock's face. "Are you enjoying this? Tell Daddy your enjoying this, baby."
Vandock closed his eyes and turned his face because he didn't want too. He really didn't want to but when he felt Victor lightly grip his chin and turn his head to face his gaze, Vandock knew he had to listen to the madman above him.
"Come on, V. Tell Daddy you want me to f*ck you so hard you can't sit for a week," Victor purred.
Vandock opened his eyes and locked his gaze with Victor's. "I want...I want you to...f*ck me," Vandock whimpered.
"Not like that, baby. You know what I want to hear," Victor purred.
Vandock closed his eyes as he felt himself getting aroused by Victor now finding his prostate. "f*ck me, Daddy."
"Oh, f*ck yes, baby," Victor groaned as he thrust began more frantic. "Say it again!" Victor shouted.
Vandock cringed. He didn't want to but he had too because this was to save 'him.' "Harder, Daddy. f*ck me harder." Mainly because he just wanted this done and over with.
Victor moaned as he grabbed hold of Vandock's c*ck and began to stroke it in timing to his thrusts. Vandock arched his back as he began to groan louder then before. "Yes! That's it, baby. Cum for your Daddy, my good boy."
Vandock couldn't help it. With each thrust against his prostate and stroke of his c*ck, Vandock felt the heat pool up in his belly. He saw stars as he suddenly began to shoot load after load of cum all over Victor's hand and himself.
"Oh, that's it, baby. That's my boy." With a few more thrusts Victor tensed and then buried himself deep inside of Vandock and shot load after load of his own come deep inside of him. "f*ck, that's it! Oh, V baby. Your just what I needed." After a few more thrusts Victor pulled out and fell to the side of Vandock. Either spoke for another minute.
"Now, for your help," Vandock said as he began to sit up.
Victor however pulled him into him and wrapped his arms around him. "Wow. That is something else I never thought I'd hear you say, V darling. First you need my help and you give yourself to me without a fuss. You do as I say and now you really seem to be in a hurry. Whoever this is really has first priority in your life, don't they, baby?"
Vandock sighed. He wanted to twist out of the madman's grip but he shook that feeling aside. He had to play ball in order to get 'him' out alive and unharmed. "Please, Victor. I will come right back when I know the package is safe."
Victor licked at Vandock's earlobe. "I know you, V. Your word is just as good as mine. Okay, baby. Nothing more then I want you here freely, we will do this now." He released Vandock and snapped his fingers. The doors opened and Victor's men brought Vandock a new navy blue custom made suit.
Vandock was shocked to see that it was made to fit him and then shook off the thought of how Victor had possibly got his measurements. "Do I have to wear this?" Vandock fussed like a child.
"Oh, don't be difficult, my darling. Yes, you need to wear if your going to be seen with me. Nothing but the best for you, lover." Victor said and he walked up to him and kissed him on the lips.
Vandock was about to pull back but stopped himself. He couldn't pull away if he had the chance to save 'him.' He had to do this so he gave into the kiss and parted his lips for the madman.
Victor moaned into Vandock's mouth as soon as he parted his lips which Victor did not hesitate to enter inside to explore every inch of Vandock's mouth. The madman bit Vandock's bottom lips drawing a little blood and licking it away before he fully pulled away from him. "You better be careful, V."
Vandock looked confused at him. "Careful of what?"
"So beautiful but so ignorant. If you keep acting like this for me. My good little boy, I won't want to give you up. I might even fall for you, lover." Victor chuckled as he licked at the blood still seeping from Vandock's cut on his lower lip. "But, how silly would that be, am I right?"
Vandock cringed at the thought. He knew if Victor had his way he would never let Vandock go but seeing who his father was, Victor could only hope that Vandock would stay with his freely. That was the only way. "Yeah, crazy." Vandock muttered.
Victor frowned as he pulled away and headed for the door. "Come on, V my darling. Let's go pick up your package and deliver it to your father so we can get back to our little game."
Vandock followed him out and said under his breath, "I can hardly wait."

Grey watched Alex for a moment as the werewolf turned his back on him. "It isn't so stupid." He said quietly. It seemed Alex idolised the chosen one. Grey had never met her but it was impossible for anyone not to have atleast heard about the half-breed heroine. Grey was to understand that she had played the vital part in stopping Drake's mad scheme to destroy all the realms and create his own universe... Or that was what was being said. Chosen ones don't become famous without a little exaggeration among the gossiping peasants.
Grey studied Alex from behind. He was having to make a very uncomfortable decision. He couldn't ignore Vincent and the older vampire's threats. If it was just himself he had to think about then he would have told Vincent to go screw himself... But for better or worse he was now bonded with this young, innocent and naive werewolf. His eyes dropped to Alex's firm a@s, snug in those tight faded jeans. How long had it been since Grey had sought pleasure from another male? Perhaps too long.
Stepping up behind Alex, Grey's arm snaked about the lad and his hand slipped into his shirt. His mouth came close to Alex's ear as he spokein barely more than a whisper, "remember when you mentioned about someone being a willing participant? I'm thirsty for something fresh." Grey's hand stroked Alex's chest, his nail's teasing he nipple it discovered in it's wanderings. "You game?" He kissed Alex's earlobe gently as his other arm encirled Alex's body, but this hand traveled further downward until itmet the front of Alex's jeans and he began to rub the palm of his hand against the growing bulge he found there in an up and down motion.

Alex shuddered while his body stiffened when Grey’s arm snaked its way around from behind and began to massage him through his jeans. He swallowed hard, listening to Grey’s words; Alex didn’t want to deny his friend, but was he really ready for this? Closing his eyes he was lost in the light touches and his growing erection that was becoming increasingly hard to ignore. There was no reason for him to ignore what he felt. The question of why still was buzzing around in his head like an angry bee. This man, who was not of his kind, saved his life. Why? Because, Grey saw something in him that no one else had. The same thing Alex saw in Grey. Humility.
Alex leaned back into Grey’s body. It felt cool against his warmth. However, that wouldn’t stop him. Grey meant so much to him and he wasn’t for sure why. All he knew was he wanted to be with him. Slightly leaning his head to the side he exposed his neck to Grey, an offering for the man he felt so fondly for. “I’m game,” he said nervously as questions began to race through his mind. Will it hurt? Would Grey be able to stop? Would it make him weak? Will his fangs leave a scar? Would they be bonded?
There were so many things Alex wanted to ask before Grey sank his fangs into him but there was one thing Alex had to keep in mind. This was about trust and he did trust Grey. So, putting any doubt he may have aside he let out an involuntary moan when he felt Grey’s tough lick his neck. He wanted to the vampire to just bend him over the back of his couch and take him where he stood but maybe there was more to this. Alex would be patient and follow Grey’s lead. It seemed the vampire knew far more that the young wolf. That would mean that Alex put his complete faith in the vampire and would do anything he asked of him, just as long as they remained together.

Grey felt the fear radiating from Alex's body and it made his scent almost intoxicating. He shuddered as the vein on the young wolf's neck was exposed to him. He was so close he could kiss it. He licked his lips, squeezing Alex's stiffening shaft through his clothes as his own erection pressed against Alex from behind. Grey had to force himself not to lose control. He felt terribly guilty at the betrayal he was about to play... but he had to make sure Alex didn't get caught up too deeply in this madness with Vincent.
Grey pressed himself against Alex. “Close your eyes.” He told him... and then bit deeply into the wolf's neck. Grey held Alex in an iron grip and drank quick and deep, only relaxing his hold as Alex's muscles started to relax... a sign that his new companion was losing consciousness. Grey had to force himself to stop feeding and leave Alex enough blood to survive as he carefully lowered the unconscious wolf down on the sofa.
Grey watched Alex intently for a moment to make sure he wouldn't suddenly die of blood loss. Satisfied he would be alright he stroked Alex's hair.
“I am sorry my friend. I do not want you to get hurt in this mess. Sweet dreams.”
Grey left Alex sleeping on the sofa as he made a swift exit from the wolves' den without being noticed.
When he was far enough away he dug his phone out of his pocket and dialled the number on the card Vincent gave him. When it was answered Grey sighed and started, “Okay, where do I meet you?”

Alex moaned when he felt Grey's erection press into his backside. He wasn't for sure he could control the lust he was feeling towards Grey. The young wolf wanted the vampire to make take him and make him his own. And by doing this…he felt like he would be Grey’s…forever.
When he heard Grey’s command he happily obliged by letting his eyes flutter closed, lost in the sensation of Grey continuing to knead him through his jeans. The moment Grey’s fangs sank into his neck, Alex let out a gasp. The pain was a little more than he was expecting until he felt numb and tingly at the same time. His body felt like it was floating as he purred, “Mmm, Grey.” He lifted his hand to the back of the vampire’s neck, gripping his hair slightly to keep himself grounded. “Need…you…” Alex said softly, feeling himself being pulled under into a world of darkness. He didn’t want to go. He wanted to stay awake with Grey but he felt tired and he felt unable to fight it. So, with the thought of Grey being there, Alex let sleep take him away.
*****
Sir Max Roland paced back and forth in his office, unsure of how to find this vampire. How could someone bring in a outsider without my knowledge, Max thought bitterly to himself. He was furious and he had every right to be. A vampire came onto his turf, murdering some of his clan. Bloodshed that was meaningless to say the least. If he would have known, he would have given over the vampire so none of this would have happened to begin with.
“Father?”
Max turned to find his daughter Anthea standing there with tears in her eyes. He stretched out his arms, inviting her. She rushed over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist, barring her face in his chest. He wrapped his arms around her back, pulling her tightly against him. “I know, little one. I know.”
“Why? Why would they do this to us?” Anthea sobbed.
“It seems there is a vampire within our clan that this elder wants,” Max explained.
Anthea pulled back, eyes wide with shock. “No.”
Max narrowed his eyes at his daughter. “You know who it is? Tell me.”
“It wasn’t his fault. I…”
“Damn it, Anthea, tell me,” Max demanded, his grip getting tighter on her arms.
Anthea started to whimper, turning her gaze downward with shame. “It was Alex. He said this vampire saved his life and so he brought him here. I knew something didn’t smell right to me but I let him pass. I am sorry, father. I have failed you.”
Max put a hand under her chin, lifting it so he could meet her gaze. “You didn’t fail me, daughter. Alex did. He knows the rules and he brought this monster into our clan. He must pay the price for his subornation.” Max pulled out of his daughter’s grip and headed for the door.
She reached out, grabbing his arm and said, “What are you going to do to him?”
“I’m going to following our law to the fullest,” Max hissed.
“You can’t…”
“Why can’t I?”
“Because…because…I…I love him,” Anthea stammered.
Max froze. His body tensed and the expression on his face twisted into a snarl. “You…love…him.” It was hard for Max to wrap his head around this new information. He didn’t want his daughter to be caught up with this wolf. Not if he was missed up with these vampires. “No, I forbid you.”
“You can’t forbid my feelings, father. It doesn’t work like that. I love him and I won’t let you hurt him.”
Max pushed back hard, forcing Anthea to fall back on the ground. He pointed down at her as he growled, “This isn’t about what you want, Anthea. This is about protecting our family. Alex betrayed our family by bringing that demon here. Now, he must be punished for his crime.” He turned and left the room, but not before locking Anthea inside.
Anthea rushed towards the door but was too late. She was banging on the door while screaming, “Let me out. Please, don’t do this. He is a good man, father. Please, don’t hurt him.”
“Jordan,” Max called out.
A husky man, with broad shoulders, and a beard walked towards him. “Yes, Roland.”
Max handed Jordan the key. “I don’t want her out of there until I have returned. Understood?”
“Yes, sir,” Jordan replied.
“Good,” Max said. He turned and headed off down the stairs, out the building and over towards Alex’s home. In the back of his mind he wanted to give the young wolf the benefit of the doubt that maybe Alex was under some form of spell over the vampire. But, somehow that didn’t seem like it was the case. Not this time. Max headed inside, climbing the stairs two at a time until he was standing at the door. He slowly lifted his hand and opened the door, gasping at the sight before him. It was the last thing he’d ever expected to see.
*****
Vincent was furious at the fact that he hadn’t gotten a reply from the leader of the werewolf clan. He wanted to take it out on one of his captives but he gave the elder wolf his word. However, within the next five minutes he promised himself he was going to break that word if he didn’t get the news he was so impatiently waiting for.
That’s when his phone began to ring. He looked down and saw it was a number he did not recognized and answered it with a rather chipper tone, “Vincent here. What can I help with today?”
Grey sighed and started, “Okay, where do I meet you?”
Vincent’s heart skipped a beat…well it would have if it actually could beat. “Well, well isn’t this a lovely surprise. I wasn’t expecting your call so soon, tiger. But, I’m so glad you did.” Vincent paused, running deductions through his mind of why Grey would give up so easily like this. What was the point if he didn’t want too in the first place? That’s when it hit him. “You really do care about him, don’t you, tiger? I guess they truly are man’s best friend but you aren’t much of a man now, are you? Not with what you’ve done. You’re just as bad as me if not worse. That’s why I know we could work together to rid this world of those that go against us. We would rule it, you and I.” Vincent smirked at his own words, loving the idea of it all. “Meet me at Dreadimores Demon Dinner and Bar. That way I know for a fact neither of us can use our power to one up the other since it is magically protected. I’ll see you there in thirty minutes. Oh, and tiger, don’t be late.” Vincent hung up the phone and was acting giddy like a school girl about to meet their crush for a date. He turned and walked out the door. It was finally time for them to talk even though he wanted to find that wolf of his because he knew that Grey would be more compliant if he held the young wolf as his prisoner.
“Menwell, Higgins, I want you both to take a team and to look for that young wolf,” Vincent demanded.
“Sir? Manwell said. “What if the wolf is with him?”
“I know he isn’t. Grey would have left him somewhere. I want him found. Bring him to me,” Vincent said. “I want him unharmed. Only I get to play with him. Understood?”
“Yes, sir,” both vampires said in unison.
“Good, now go. Find him. I need to leave and meet my tiger. There is must to discuss,” Vincent said as he got into his black car and headed for towards the Dreadimores where the fate of one hangs in the balance.
*****
“Thank you, Higgins. You’ve been most helpful,” Victor said as he hung up the phone.
“Well?” Vandock insisted.
“My inside source tells me that Vincent is meeting someone over at Dreadimores bar in less than thirty minutes,” Victor informed him.
Vandock’s eyes grow wide with fear. “No,” he breathed. “We need to go over there. We need to stop it.”
“I see,” Victor replied, arching an eye brow. “Well, there is something else you probably should be aware of then.”
“Such as?” Vandock asked warily.
“Higgins and another vampire are making their way over to Bay-Wolf clan. Seems whoever Vincent’s target is saved the life of a young wolf and Vincent is convinced that his target would be more willing if he held this young wolf as his prisoner.”
“sh*t , that’s going to start a war,” Vandock said.
“Oh baby, it already has.”
Vandock looked over at him and asked, “What do you mean?”
“Vincent went over and murdered some wolves in a fire. He’s demanding for…whoever this person is…to come out and face him. Which seems something worked because they are meeting him at the bar alone.”
“WHAT?” Vandock gasped. “No, he can’t. We need to get there. Please, Victor. I need to stop this.”
“Anything for you, V darling,” Victor said as he started to massage Vandock’s leg.
Vandock wanted Victor to stop or to move his own leg but he knew he couldn’t do that. Right now he made a deal with Victor. He needed to get Grey safe and out of harm’s way. He needed to stop Vincent at any cost. Vandock pulled out his mobile and shot off a text to The Count.
Going after Vincent. Grey is meeting him at Dreadimore’s bar. A young wolf’s life hangs in the balance. Send a team. Protect them both. – Vandock A moment later he got a text message that read…
Understood. – The Count
It was enough that it told Vandock that The Count couldn’t hang back anymore. That with a wolf’s life also in jeopardy they needed to act fast before more blood was shed. This wasn’t a war they wanted to start but they will side with the team that needs them the most and damn to all others who opposed them.
