"Nicely done." Vorska said, taking a second to merge with the wind currents. There was a guard around another bend, and was about to walk out into the hallway the three intruders were crouching in.
The Elemantalist clenched his fist, creating a void around the guard's body. He struggled in vain to draw breath, but found he couldn't. After several seconds, the guard dropped to the floor without a sound, as the lack of air prevented sound waves from traveling away from the body. Vorska gestured again, this time letting the stone beneath the guard become malleable and like mud. The guard's corpse sunk into the mud-like stone, and was lost forever as the floor solidified again.
"We must keep moving." Vorska muttered, motioning for Nadine to lead the way.

Nadine nodded silently and moved ahead, bow knocked and drawn.
She sent out a pulse of Astral and waited before choosing a path.
She noticed that the pathways began, getting narrow and turning quickly and removed her arrow and slung the bow, while her left hand reached the rapier on her right hip.
Her right hand grabbed the long stiletto dagger (almost long enough,to be a short sword, but it's so thin that is appears to work) in a reverse grip with the flat of the blade against the outer side of her forearm.
She knew Vorska was masking their sounds, so she provided visual invisibility. She poured Astral energy over the both then made it absorb into their bodies. The astral power made their bodies dimensionless and transparent by shifting them out of phase with the world.
Everything took on a vapor trail effect and a somewhat psychedelic colour scheme.
But they were invisible.

Kat reeled from their sudden journey through the vortex. She felt light headed and dizzy when they appeared inside a broom closet. She put a hand against the wall to steady herself for a moment and clutched at her stomach. Maybe it was a first timer thing because Vorska and Nadine looked non the worse for wear.
Kat followed the other two as they journeyed through the corridors in search of Sofia. They made short work of the two guards they encountered and Kat felt a small pang of jealousy. She knew it was extremely petty but Vorska and Nadine looked so good together and worked so well as a team she couldn't deny seeing some sort of spark between them. A mere human, and only a girl at that, Kat couldn't hope to compete with this talented, beautiful and powerful woman. Pushing her girlish thoughts aside, Kat resumed her attention to the task at hand.
“Which way now?” Kat whispered to them...

Vorska blinked as the Astral invisibility effect concealed them, though at the same time it provided a fair amount of disorientation. He reached out and put a hand on Kat's shoulder and nodded slightly to reassure the young woman. The wind rustled through the trio's hair and clothing as the Elementalist channeled air in an attempt to find Sofia.
"I think she's a few floors up. Not too far." Vorska looked over at Nadine and Kat with a mischievous grin on his face. "Want to take a shortcut up?"

"Yes, that sounds right..." Nadine smiled slightly. "After you, Elementalist."
She crouched low, legs primed to spring toward any threat as Vorska did whatever he was going to do.
Looking between Vorska and Kat, she noticed for the first time the bond that connected the two of them...
Rather than being some spiritual mumbo-jumbo, this was something Nadine could actually see. It only projected via the astral, or rather, from the physical, into the metaphysical and through the astral, but it was there...and it was powerful...possibly even enough to allow Kat to borrow some of her lover's powers?
Only time would tell...in the meantime, they had a mission to accomplish.

OOC: Ooh an interesting idea brought up in your last post Bippwatt, I hadn't thought about Katarina getting any supernatural powers from her connection to Vorska. If you're still wanting your character to get killed off Spartan might be kinda cool to have Kat to later realise she has inherited some of his powers.)
Kat smiled slightly at Vorska's suggestion. His perpetual sense of humour helped calm her nerves. She wasn't too eager to go leaping through walls again but they needed to find Sofia and get out of here before they got noticed. “When this is all over you're keeping your feet firmly on the ground mister.” Kat scolded her lover playfully and gripped the sleeve of his shirt. With her free hand she drew her sword and held it close to her side, she had a feeling the further up they got the more she would be needing it.
“Let's do this.”

((Typical of you Bucks, you read my mind. Depending on what you want, it could be some or all of his abilities, along with his minor "standard" magic skills. You know, his non-Elemental stuff.)) Vorska called upon all the Elements simultaneously as he concentrated. Water and Fire would help propel them upwards through steam power, while air allowed them to continue breathing, contain the steam, and muffle the sounds of their ascent, and Earth would create passage for the trio through the floors of the castle. "Sorry in advance if this stings." The Elementalist said to Kat and Nadine. "I haven't combined all four in a while." With that, they rocketed up and through the rock above. *** Nadine was catapulted into a far wall while Kat got snagged on a large tapestry on the wall close by and tumbled to the floor wrapped in it. Vorska continued hurtling up into the ceiling, which he slammed bodily into. The stone cracked under the force, and he fell back to the floor with a thud. Vorska popped back up to his feet the very next second, apparently none the worse for wear. His body's endurance had been increased exponentially by his Channeling, and it would take a lot more to put a dent into his stamina. "You guys alright?" He inquired as he ceased Channeling all four Elements at once, but kept Air going so no one would hear them. As it was, he feared they'd been heard at least somewhat, but there was nothing he could do about that now. Instead, they had to press forward to where Sophia was being kept not twenty meters down the hallway.

Nadine wasn't quite expecting that...but she was nothing if not adaptable. Tucking her blades in close so she didn't stab herself or anyone else, she rolled with the somewhat violent landing, springing back up to both feet and flipping her blades around to an offensive stance.
"I think we should move quickly...that couldn't have gone unnoticed."

“Argh!” Kat struggled against the tapestry that wrapped her small body tightly. She wriggled free and jumped to her feet. Her cheeks blushed slightly as she came to realise Vorska and Nadine were already on their feet and ready.
As if to empathise Nadine's words, the sounds of running feet and voices started to come from down the hall. They were on their way.
“I second that notion.” Kat said...

Vorska cracked his neck loudly and whirled his scimitar.
"Alright, no more subtlety."
With that, he channeled Air and stretched a hand out. As the enemy guards came rushing around the corner, they were blasted against the wall, limbs splayed out, making them easy pickings for the trio.
"Over here!" A voice shouted from behind them. More guards appeared there, and the one who had called them was evidently some sort of arcane spellcaster, as he launched an impressive barrage of magic blasts against the three, primarily focused on Vorska and Nadine.
The Elementalist was driven to his knees, even though he erected a shield against the onslaught. In response, he started channeling Fire. A lance of concentrated white-hot flames shot towards the enemy mage, not managing to kill him, but injuring him badly all the same. He rose to his feet and cut down a few oncoming guards attempting to kill him, blood spurting onto the floor and his flowing attire.

(Had another idea: Pregnant Badass, with the badassery lingering, thereby making her Action Mom...or Mama Bear...either or.)
Nadine sprang forward, her blades twirling. A short lunge pierced one guard's lung, a slash from her shorter blade opened a jugular vein.
With a purplish-black swirl, she popped forward twenty meters, slew four more guards, then popped back. Another swirl formed into a quartet of inky, purple tenticals, which promptly shot forward, spearing another four guards.
As the evidence of her magic faded, the mage across the hall began to strike them.
The Astral Mage sneered. She folded the Astral around her and Kat, popping them out of the world for three seconds, long enough for the magic to expend itself uselessly.
As they returned, the mage took some of Vorska's blast of fire, but he had definately made his reflex save. Time to hound him a bit...
"Garm...", she intoned, pulling the Astral energy to make it work. This was an odd type of Astral magic. She wasn't so much controlling the energy as giving it a polite suggestion and letting the raw power take shape as it would...
So, given that she had invoked the name of Garm, a hound from Norse mythology, who was six feet tall at the shoulder if he was an inch...and also smoldered with Hel's fell flames. And as an added bonus, many verisons gave him the ability to launch the closest thing to Evil Napalm to exist.....
Yeah. She had used this once before, fixing the concept in her mind. The result was no Garm, to be sure...but maybe one of Garm's puppies?
Needless to say, once it became flesh, the guards rapidly lost their will to fight. It stalked toward the slightly singed mage, snapping and swiping at guards that got in it's way.
