Amber put down the limp body that she had just fed off of. She was more that lucky to find a dumb human wandering around aimlessly in such a dangerous area like this. She thrust the body into a little stream and covered it with moss, while she licked the thick blood off her lips. She got up off her knees, stuffed her heads into her trench coat, and walked through the think grass around her. Her think brown hair swirled about her through the gusty night while the moon hung high in the air. She could sense more people nearby, but Amber really didn't think about them. She just stayed focused on the gentle swaying of the tall grasses that laid ahead.

Hey Mist I suggest you looking over Ambrose's bio before replying so you get an idea of what he is and how he is; it'd help you a lot with this thread! c: Ambrose weaved his way through the trees as the strong scent of blood nearby brought him forward. As he got closer, he took note of a vampire throwing a dead body of a human into a nearby stream; the blood from the carcass tainting the seemingly clean waters. He became suddenly distracted as he suddenly felt a deja-vu-like sensation; feeling that the blood dirtying up the water was vaguely similar to when that b*tch popped in his life. Sh*t happens! he thought, his thoughts being automatically conveyed to those around him. The little dog rolled onward with his head set low to the ground to get his share of water, and perhaps a bite too. His soft pink tongue rolled over his yellowing teeth at the scent of fresh meat, he wasn't paying too much attention to what the fanged woman was doing though...

(OOC: Can't pass up a chance to bring back an old character lol)
Crouched behind some bushes, the young man notched back an arrow so slowly it seemed as if he was hardly moving. The determination was set in his jaw as his dark eyes squinted straight ahead at the deer in the clearing. The soft twang of rushing air was the only sound to note the flight of the green fletched shaft as it found it's home in the deer's breast. Killed instantly, the animal dropped to the ground and Jon atlast stood up. Short, wavy dark hair and a few days worth of beard growth decorated boyish features of a man in perect physical health. Closing his eyes for a moment he made a quick prayer to thank the spirits of the forrest and then went over to the carcass. Getting the deer's body back to his camp was an ardous task but one that his strong, lean body was capable of. He set the carcass down near to the stone ring of what had been a camp fire and set about alighting it anew with fresh timber. Not long after the soft glow from his fire cast dancing shadows about the forest and over his tent, Jon had started to use a knife to clean the animal carcass. The smell blood reached his heightened senses which was understandable seeing as he was crouched over something dead... but he frowned in confusion as he suddenly realised he could smell human blood. Something was amiss in the forest and Jon was determined to find out what.
Abandonning his dinner for now, he took up his bow and quiver and set off towards that coppery smell of death. Notching back an arrow he got an unfamiliar animal in sights. A small dog but it seemed more akin to a domestic pet than the large hunting hounds from his village. A half grin spread across his face and he lowered his weapon.
"Well met there, little fellow," Jon sent out his thoughts to the animal, his gift of being able to communicate with animals always a bonus, though it alienated him from his peers at Haven village. He could sense there was something strange about this animal though, like the dog didn't quite seem like really a dog. "I mean you no harm. Are you lost?"

I hope it's alright if I power-played your character a tad so that he petted Ambrose. If it's not, I'll change it. Just as Ambrose had begun to tear at the dead being's tender arm, he could sense another presence looming nearby; he seemed to not be receiving any negative vibes though. This was a calm creature, much unlike himself. The calm being crouched down by the terrier and sent telepathic messages to his mind. The messages were not ones in the common language, luckily the dog spirit within him helped him understand what the man was saying. "Well met there, little fellow" he said calmly, his hand stroking the side of his face. It felt very good, but he had a reputation to keep. Reluctantly, he tensed up his muscles and released a low growl. Don't touch me... I know my way around here pretty damn well, as a matter of fact came his reply, leaving the person with a warning. He stuck around for the meal and, secretly, for the human's company; he could use a little socialization here and there, even if it wasn't necessarily a positive form of it.

(OOC: that's fine mate ) Jon smirked slightly to himself as the dog snapped at him. He raised his hands in a non-threatening gesture. "Whatever you say mate." He sighed and stood up, the smile leaving his face as he noticed what the animal had been snacking on. A human body. Trying not to interrupt the creature's eating he made a quick inspection of the body and noticed the two puncture wounds on the victim's throat. The man had died fairly recently. "The vampire that did this... did you see where he went?" He thought out to the dog and cast his dark brown eyes over every bush and shadowed area around him. He quickly drew one of his daggers and held it close to his left thigh as he continued to look for signs of the vampire...

Amber stopped mid step. She heard two voices behind her. She swiftly found a tree to hide behind as she viewed the sights by the stream. A little dog was poised in the water, snacking on her latest meal, while a strange man with a bow and arrow stood studying of the dog. The man was after her. Amber had always loved a good chase, but she left somewhat worried about what this man could do. She had only seen few people in one hundred years that carry along a bow and arrow, and they were all dangerous. She turned around and sighed. She closed her eyes for a moment, gathering her strength, and then bursting off at vampiric speed into the tall grass field again. She swiftly ricocheted off tree trunks, then grabbed a thick branch to rest on. While she caught her breath she looked off into the dark shadows of the forest waiting for the armed man to show his face.

Jon heard the rustle of movement through the dense foliage. He quickly sheathed his dagger to draw his bow instead. He notched back an arrow and tensed... waiting, his eyes darting at every shadow and concealed area. The tension left his shoulders as he realised whatever it was had been moving away. The vampire had apparently fled away from him...

i strolled through the forest in my half form, my long black hair damp from the rain cloud that had just passed over my path. both my swords sat soundly at my either side of my waist. the leather strap that held my shield was pulled tight to my chest. i paused in the woods listening to music of the crickets when i heard something rushing through the forest, then bending of branches and at last is stopped and forest returned to the gentle tune of crickets. what ever had been moving was now some where above me. find the lowest easiest to reach branch i began my easy climb up toward where the noise had stopped. as i approached i at first only noticed it was a vampire, as i moved closer i took not that was a female with a aura about herself that hinted to me she had just enjoyed a meal. i also took note to her ever watchful expression. even being a shifter dragon i knew better then to sneak up on a vampire that was looking for something. in an area where i would be restricted in half elf form and not want to give away the fact i am actually a dragon, so i locked my dragon mind safely away leaving only my half elf mind readable. i move around to approach from her front, branches bent under my weight as i went from one to another. soon i was in front of her and it was quite clear she had already seen me. i approached a normal speed trying not seem cautious of her or to be chasing her. i finally came to branch slightly her then hers. as i landed i steaded myself then place my hand momentarily on my sword to stop their swing. my brown looked at her for a moment observing her pose. Placing an arm across my crest i bowed slightly to the vampire, "greeting mistress vampire, my name is Darius, i overheard your movement and was simple curious as to what was happing. can i pardon you for a name?" as i finished my words bent my knees into a relaxed position, my hands hung limp while i set my elbows on my knees resting on the branch waiting for a response.

"I can't let a dangerous creature like that wander around this close to Haven Village, I'd better follow the vampire's trail. Good meeting you." Jon spoke to the small dog with his mind. He took off through the undergrowth following a trail of snapped twigs and broken branches. The creature didn't tread lightly, but why would it? A vampire was a predator without hunter... Jon was a meer human with a bow that happened to be able to communicate with animals. Even if he managed to catch up with the vampire he felt a tremor of fear at what could he possibly do against it? Resolve set in his dark brown eyes... he reminded himself it was his duty to protect his kin.
Jon found the vampire sitting in a tree and was suprised to discover 'he' was actually a 'she', and a very actractive young female it was too. He also noticed she was not alone, a male he didn't recognise was making contact with her. He sensed this man wasn't also a vampire though.
Jon crouched in the bushes to observe, he kept an arrow ready to fire but aimed it low at the ground for now as he watched to see what would happen...
