(OOC: Eric's Bio; fantasy1987.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wererules&action=display&thread=162 ) Some would say it was madness that could drive a person to start a business in such a dangerous place as Red Blood City. But then Eric Matthews wasn’t entirely human, and neither was he entirely sane. His joint was a small, not particularly exciting place. His earnings came mostly from his regulars and the fact that he had a reputation for serving anyone without prejudice. The bar was called ‘The Wolf’s Fang’ and was situated in some alleyway out of the main public walkways. Outside the door to the bar, was a sign that offered work for anyone looking for to be a bouncer. Most of the time he avoided any trouble, but on a few occasions there would always be somebody willing to start a fight. On that particular night, two vampires, male and female, had entered the Fang looking for trouble. A couple by the looks of it as they had matching tattoos and piercing. They were pushing through people and knocking over a few drinks on purpose, confident nobody would have the gall to stand up to them. “Blood, type-O.” The male grinned his fangs at Eric over the bar, his arm draped around his girlfriend’s shoulders. “Put it on a tab eh? I don‘t feel like paying today.” Eric Matthews stopped cleaning the glass in his hands. He set it down as he slung the bar cloth over one shoulder as his blue eyes studied the two vampires. He had been watching them since they entered and they had finally pushed his last nerve. Somewhere in his thirties, Eric had light brown hair and a handsome yet dishevelled appearance. His navy sweatshirt was stretched over lean muscle as he folded his arms and shook his head. “I’m not serving you.” He growled quietly, his jaw tensing under a few weeks worth of beard growth. The vampire male snorted and gazed at the bartender like he was insane. “You aren’t gonna serve us? Why N--” The vampire sniffed, scenting the other male and grinned. “Oh I get it, werewolf-boy. You don’t like vamps?” “Not at all.” Eric answered. “I just don’t like you.” Angered by the werewolf’s lack of fear, the vampire was beginning to lose his cool. His girlfriend wasn’t helping things. “Kick the crap outta him Zeke! He can‘t talk to you like that.” The male vampire laughed, “I heard about you, not long come in from Nightrain forest. He’s a none violent kind nowadays… he killed a few people by accident, anger management issues or some sh1t and now… he won’t lift a finger to hurt anyone.” The vampire leaned over the bar to grin in Eric’s face. “Lucky for me eh?” He reached around the beer tap and grabbed a pint glass, determined to help himself to a drink. Eric fumed angrily, the vein standing out in his forehead as he felt himself reach boiling point. Sensing trouble, the old man regular seated at the bar shuffled further away, nursing his pint of ale carefully… …suddenly the door opened with a gust of chilly Red Blood City air. No matter how people tried to ignore it, every particle of air in Red Blood City carried the faint whiff of death…

((this is after Redem healed her scars so she is back to her original beauty.)) ((http://fantasy1987.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=creatures&action=display&thread=1032))
Flower opened the door to that bar wondering who in the 9 hells had the gall to open a bar in the middle of Red Blood City. She stepped in her cloak swirling around her and her hood pulled low to keep off the rain off. She left the scents of the room to waft up to her nose as she stepped in. Her eyes scanned everything in her vision the musky sent of wolf hit her then that arctic blank smell of vampire, her lip curled slightly and she shook off fast flinging water droplets in every direction, as she spotted the werewolf behind the bar assuming he would know who the owner was.
She grumbled lightly at the vampires causing such a fuss, Zeke was it? She grinned shaking her head; no wonder this boss wanted help. She pulled off her cloak and sat it to the side her beauty filling the room as her smile was deadly. She tapped on the bar, “Excuse me? Hi, I am Flower Vickerinoff I am here to speak to your employer. I am the applicant for the position here at the bar.”
The door behind her slammed shut with a loud crash and the dog like creature shook herd following his owner’s example and flinging water, un-tucking his tail from between his legs where he flame was protected under his belly, he gave a hard huff and glared around the room, he was as ugly as Flower was beautiful, Flower reached down and stroked the war hound, “Good boy Wrath.” The creature purred heavily.

Everyone turned towards the cloaked figure as she entered with her canine companion. Some of the people in the bar muttered quietly to each other, a few of them recognised her. Though a few of them only knew her by her nickname ’Sin’. Some of them didn’t and averted their gaze; remaining quiet with their own thoughts. Whoever she was, it was clear she knew how to handle herself.
Eric and Zeke’s hostility towards one another dropped momentarily as they watched the newcomer remove her hood and her large dog shook himself down.
Zeke made a quick decision. “Let’s go babe.” He suddenly told his female companion.
“What? I thought we were gonna help ourselves to a drink?” She pouted unhappily.
“Another time.” Zeke turned towards Eric and sneered at him. “We’ll be seeing you again soon wolf, maybe next time there will be more of us.”
Zeke and his girlfriend quickly left, he made sure he leered at Flower as he passed her. Everyone in the bar visibly relaxed. The testosterone level had lowered to a safer point now that the confrontation had been avoided. For now. But everyone knew what vampires were like for getting their nests involved with their grudges.
Eric muttered angrily under his breath then turned his attention to the woman who had just entered. He had never met her before but he could tell by some of his patrons reactions to her presence that she must live around these parts. He would have told her that no dogs would have been allowed, but that would have been pretty ironic seeing as he was half-canine himself. He decided to let her bring her pet inside, might even help keep trouble out.
Eric rested his hand on the bar tap in classic barman’s pose and nodded to her. “I’m Eric, I own the bar. Flower Vickerinoff is it? Nice to meet you. As you can probably see I get trouble from the local vampires from time to time. The last guy who I had working the doors went missing. Think you’ll be able to handle yourself here?”

Flower looked down at Wrath and flicked her tail at him and he dissappeared in the room, "I believe we can more then handle ourselves here." she shook his hand and grinned, at the handsome wolf, "Eice to meet you as well Eric. if I go missing you might want to leave this city completely." She laughed at her own joke as Wrath reappeared by her side flickering his ears.
She reached down and stroked the ugly hound then gave Eric a look, "So what are my hours and my pay?" She looked over the wolf wonder what had possesed him to open a bar here, then she looked down at Wrath and he shrugged sne shugged back and leaned up on the bar, a generious amount of her cleavage showing and she didn't even know it.

Eric couldn’t help but notice the cleavage on show as the woman called Flower leaned over the bar and spoke to him. He realised he must have been staring and snapped his gaze up to her face.
Pretty tough looking lady to have such a delicate name. Though with her appearance, maybe he should be employing her to dance for the patrons rather than kick the trouble makers out.
Eric cleared his throat and smiled at her. “I’m looking for someone to work the graveyard shift, sort of midnight onwards, that’s when all the creeps seem to come out to play. I’m willing to make you a good offer on pay, with certain bar privileges…” He slid a small tumbler glass across the bar top at her then reached behind himself to grab a bottle of JD. He gave her a double of the strong liquor.
“Pretty simple stuff really, you interested?”

She gave a nod and knocked the shot down grinning, "Sounds about right." She realized what he had been staring and and slowly thought to herself how long it had been since she had a man, she looked him over then sighed and turned her back to him looking around the room.
What all privliges come with this job she shot him a look over her shoulder and falshed him a small but far from innecent smile. She looked down at the glass in her and and sat it on the bar pecking it lightly but not letting it go as she waited for him to comply, Wrath hopped up on the bar with his front paws looking over the werewolf with that ugl face the scared even demons at times, the look on the hounds face was obviously a wicked but friendly smile which would make most men piss there pants with the lack of knowledge about what the look men, he was just being friendly, then he turned his head and gave his master a side long look was she in heat? she sniffed the air again then gave a snort no not in heat just needy, he grumbled and scooted further away from her, he didnt like her like this she got this way sometimes.

Eric smiled, always a pleasure to meet an attractive woman who could handle her drink. He wondered what else she could handle as he refilled her glass of strong liquor. He watched her down the second shot without so much as batting a long eyelash.
“Okay you’re definitely hired. Now get your a*s on that door before you drain me dry.” He said with a wink. He watched her and her scary looking dog depart for the entrance. His gaze dropped to her well proportioned backside and that seductive sway of her hips that always got to him about women. The front door was under cover so she wouldn’t get too wet from the rain. It had been a pretty slow night so far, so he didn’t think her first shift would see much trouble. Come the weekend though it was a different story. Before now he had considered not opening at all. Maybe things would be different with Flower around.
Shaking his head, Eric picked up his cloth and started wiping glassware once more. Time to get back to work…
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later at closing time, all of the regulars had gone home and the last few drinkers emptied the last drops of their beverages and departed for the evening. Or make that early morning.
“Night Eric!” The fat guy that worked the kitchen said and caught the small brown envelope that his boss threw towards him.
Eric smiled back and gave him a wave. “Don’t spend it all at once Ernie. Make it last you to next pay day huh? I can‘t keep up with all of your subs.”
Ernie laughed. “I’ll try.” He smiled at Flower and her dog as he passed them in the entrance way. “Night guys.”
“Well that’s everyone.” Eric sighed and turned to smile at Flower as she shut the main door and bolted it. “’Cept us that is. Here,” He tossed Flower’s first pay packet towards her and started pouring them both another shot of alcohol. The more expensive stuff this time, GoldSchalger. The little flecks of gold floated in the strong cinnamon flavoured liquor, the stuff that was meant to graze the inside of your throat on the way down, getting the alcohol into your blood stream quicker.
He set Flower’s down on the bar for her. “So how’d you find your first shift? Any trouble out there? If there was you certainly kept it outside…”…

Flower grinned and shook her head, "nothing a few nasty looks didn't handle." She slide him a dark but sexy look and sipped her drink rolling the cinnamon flavor on her tongue she was loving it. Wrath flopped down across the top of her boots and sighed snuggling his head on her thigh. " don't have any steak treats round here do you? Poor Wrath is feeling a bit snackish."

"Reckon we could rustle something up for him." Eric said softly, holding Flower's gaze for a moment longer than necessary, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He turned and wandered through into the kitchen. He took a slab of raw meat out of the fridge and put the plate down on the floor for Wrath to dig in.
While her hound was otherwise engaged, he leaned against the bar and spoke to her. "So... you got a place to stay?"

Sin stroked Wrath and focused on the way Eric's lips moved, "I haven't looked into anything yet, wrath usually isn't to fond of staying cooped up but neither am I for that fact." She flexed her hands letting her claws lengthen and retract repeatedly. She used her booted toes to scratch Wraths thick scaled belly watching as he growled playfully over his food, swatting at her foot.

Eric watched Wrath as he swatted at her intruding foot.
"I can understand that." Eric agreed, before getting this place he had been a wanderer himself. Last port of call before here was Nightrain Forest. He remembered Ardolf... and especially Ariel... but then those terrible things that happened after... (OOC: See 'never going home' in Night Rain Forest.)
Forcing himself back to the present, Eric sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. Though he was trying to smile his eyes had a slightly haunted look about them. Turning his full attention back to Flower he said, "I got a spare room upstairs. It ain't much but you're welcome to stay a while before you decide what you wanna do. As long as you don't mind western country music. I really like that old stuff. Whaddya say?"

Flower thought for a moment then nodded slowly,"I guess it wouldn't hurt, sh*t it's better then the roof I suppose."
Wrath rumbled something from around his food which made Flower giggle as he thumped his tail.
Flower looked over Eric's face wondering what he was thinking of to cause that look, she had worn that very look herself many times. She leaned in close nearly touching her nose to his,"Boo! said the little creature who ate my poptarts. "
