Bethany Ryvan was in her wolf form trying to away from the blood hunters, what she called them, that were after her. Bethany had run away from home and now she was thinking that it may have been a bad idea. The blood hunters were masked figures that were out to capture only wolves to take them back to New Orleans to put them in a confined space for viewing. (Kind of like a zoo.) They were interested in Bethany more than anything, she was an animagus. From what the fairies and the other wolves told her was the Blood Hunters had heard about her by seeing her morph back and forth. Bethany was running on loose gravel and realized that she was slipping to the side. She couldn't regain her balance and she fell onto her side. She was laying there whimpering when she felt like she was bitten by a mosquito. She looked on her side and found a dart with a sedative inside. She morphed back into a human involuntarily and saw three people before the sedative took effect.

So much for her walk to calm herself and take a nice relaxing moment, it was her norm to take a few walks a week just to get out of the town. It took her back to her roots and reminded her of her long lost home. The rolling country sides of France burst into life in her imagination; the lycan gave a small warm smile. She had forgotten how much she had missed her home. But in her heart she knew that in this day and age her home did not look the same as when she had left.
A noise caught her attention, and her heightened senses kicked in as she sniffed the air. She attempted to ignore all the ‘white noise’ of the forest and focus on the beings that were coming closer to her currently location. Finding a decent place to hide for the moment, she figured that she could just wait and watch them pass by then continue her walk. Maybe they were just travelers. Maybe.
There was no moon at this moment she was on her own. A frown formed at the corner of the fair maiden’s lips. She had watched the wolf running along the gravel path, and could smell its followers. Then the white canine was down for the count, and the hunters were upon the now helpless form. A growl vibrated the back of her throat. She hated to see another creature hunted down for what they were. She was not going to stand there and watch as another person was taken.
A loud roar like growl exploded from her as she leapt from her hiding spot towards the assaulters. Even though she was not the lycanthrope she could transform into, her super human abilities would allow her stand a chance against these three people. Pulling a dagger from her hip holster she lunched towards the first attacker and sliced the blade across their throat. Blood burst from the wound, spraying Gabby’s face with the warm fluid. Then she moved to position herself between the girl who lay upon the ground and the next two hunters.
“Who’s next?” She growled, daring the two to come forward towards her.

The last two hunters backed away and then ran vowing to return to take both of them. A few minutes later the seditive wore off and her eyes fluttered open to see a person with her back to her. She quickly scrambled to her feet and stood ready to fight. Bethany was unaware that Gabby had saved her life.
"Who are you?" She growled fists raised. She always learned not to trust anyone and she was paranoid that everyone was a blood hunter. Bethany's eyes narrowed trying to read Gabby's personality. She was so hard to read and Bethany realized that she must be either a wolf like her or she was just good at blocking out readings.

The she-wolf smiled evilly as the two darted away from her. "Cowards." she thought to herself. For a few moments she remained standing at the ready just incase the hunters decided that they were going to try for a sneak attack. You could never trust those sort of people. Just around that time she heard movement behind her as the other girl awoke from her nice little nap.
All Gabby could do was chuckle as the shapeshifter stood ready to dook it out. She had spunk, the lycan would give her that.
"Easy there killer. " Gabby stated as she twirled the dagger and slid it back into her hip holster. She held her hands up in a half hearted surrender. "Don't hurt me.. please." The red head stated in a slightly sarcastic tone.
"Name's Gabrielle.. but you can call me Gabby." The lycanthrope continued placing her hands on her hips. "And I believe you owe me a 'thank you'."
Her stark blue eyes sized the girl up, trying to figure out what the hunters deemed so special about her. She gave a shrug figuring it was hust becasue she was different like the rest of the unnatural world.
Feelin the blodd tha had been splattered upon her slowly drip down her face, Gabby took her slender hand and attempted to wipe the fluid off.
"Sometimes playing with your fiod can be so messy." She stated in a joking tine as she pulled out a bandana from her pocket and continued to finish cleaning her face off.

Bethany undid her fists and put her arms to her sides. She sighed "Thank you." She said and then went to sit down on a log. "I'm Bethany, Beth for short." She told Gabby . When Bethany heard the comment about playing with food being messy Bethany looked at her and saw the blood being wiped off of her face.
Bethany looked into the dark shapes of the trees. "So what are you doing out, shouldn't you be in a cave sleeping or something?" Bethany asked aware that she was having an attitude.

The red head gave a shrug as her reply to the thanks. "Don't mention it".
Gabby paused in her task of cleaning her face off abd stared at Beth at her comment about hiding in a cave. "Honey, I'm a werewolf. Not a vampire. I don't have to hide in the dark all day." She gave the young woman a look.
"With that kind of attitude maybe I should have minded my own business an let them take you." Gabby folded her arms across her chest and gave a slight frown.
"Why were they after you anyway?" She curiously questioned. "Do ya pee on the wrong lawn or something?" Of course she was jesting with the girl. It was just her nature to be smart witted and sarcastic. She did not mean any offence if she was causing such.

Beth looked at Gabby and then looked to the ground and shook her head. "They saw me morph back and forth many times so now they want me and now that they saw you. They will be back to get us both." Beth said. She felt a salty tear fill the eye that there was still a tear duct in. The tear duct in the other eye was gone after a fight she was in.
"Well, it was nice meeting you I got to run. Thanks again." Beth morphed and then ran off into the darkness.

Gabby raised a brow. Why would three Hunters be after her? They had not seen her transform. She could only do that under the light of the full moon. For all they knew she could just be an extraordinarily athletic person. She shrugged off the thought.
"They don't know what I am yet." She mumbled to herself.
That's when Beth stated her farewell and morphed s she took off into the darkness.
"Tootles kid." The wolf said as she flicked her hand in a wave.

As Beth was running she realized she needed food, she was starving. Suddenly the sweet scent of something roasting ifiltrated her nose. She looked around and saw an open flame with something above it. She licked her wolf lips and advanced toward the meat. Suddenly she noticed a man sitting there andshe knew she had to sneak and grab.
Beth had done this before so why was she so scared?

Light cream colored hands reached out of the darkness and grabbed Beth by the muzzle and by the shoulders. Trying to be light, but firm as possible to keep the wolf from moving forward towards the camp.
“Shhh.” Gabby whispered in as quiet of a voice as possible. She had not meant to startle the wolf, but she did not want Beth walking into something she could not get out of by herself. The lycan pointed towards the encampment. “Hunters.”
Yes she had known who they were. After Beth had run off Gabby set to tracking the two who had escaped. If they were coming back after the white wolf and then herself, she wanted to track their movements and learn more about her new found opponent. They had circled around the spot where Gabby and Beth had their little confrontation, knowing that Beth was going to be again heading the opposite way.
She had managed to get a scent off the one she had taken down earlier. They all had a slightly similar aroma to them. So that mixed with her tracking abilities it was not hard to have followed them this far, and lay in wait. Watching, and listening to see if she could figure out their next move.
Gabby looked back towards Beth and hitched a thumb the opposite way away from the fire and haunting and enticing scent of food. They must not get too close, or else cause another ruckus like before.

When Beth was grabbed she started thrashing and then she heard someone shush her, almost automatically she knew who it was. She stopped thrashing and morphed into her human form. "Thanks she whispered once she saw what she almost ran into. "Maybe we should just stick together from now on." Beth said.
She wasn't one to partner up with someone but with what just about happened she thought it was a good idea. Out of the bllue she got hungry. "Wanna get something to eat?" Beth asked Gabby as she slightly stood up.

Gabby’s piercing blue eyes stared at the hunter’s camp, watching them move around. She was making sure that they had not been heard. They did not seem to have noticed anything, so her tensed and focused features eased. Her attention was then turned back to Beth.
“Sticking together might be a good idea.” Her voiced whispered so low it was almost breath like instead of actual speech. Gabby did not normally team up with someone. That’s why she was considered a ‘lone wolf’. She had abandoned her pack and fled, so she would not have to circum to the hierarchy. That and deep down inside she still secretly hated her pack mates, after all they were the ones who torn her village to bits. But in these circumstances it was always okay to have someone who had your back.
The red head nodded at Beth’s last comment and as quietly as possible moved away from her hiding spot and away from the site. Her motion was almost a crawl like movement, so that her weight was supported by the tips of her fingers and the tips of her boots. The less parts of the body that touched the ground the less noise it would make.
“We need to be further away from here before we can set up a campfire to cook anything.” She stated as she looked back at Beth. “So come on chicky… we better get moving ‘fore your stomach eats its way out.” She smiled and continued her movement until she was sure they were out of ear shot of the dynamic duo who was now enjoying their dinner.

Beth looked around to make sure that they weren't being watched before she started eating. When she knew that there was noone there she started eating her lunch. It felt good to get something into her stomache. "So where are you from?" She asked trying to make conversation with her new found partner. It finally hit her that she barely knew this girl and it was rare that she didn't know anyone that seh associated with.
Beth heard something that sounded like a twig break, but when she looked in the direction a rabbit jumped out of the bushes. She caught the rabit and killed it. She started cooking that too.

Gabby did not pay attention to the food, she almost absent mindedly stared at the coals that had been stoked up from the burning twigs. She was different, she did not need to eat so often as others did. Meals as a lycan were different, it was like a snake. They could eat one thing and go for an entire month without feasting again. Of course sometimes she mingled in ordinary food, but not often.
“France.” She stated to Beth. “A long, long time ago.” A half hearted smile tipped the corners of her lips.
“You?” she urged the conversation further. It was not a bad thing to have someone to talk to. With a stick she moved the coals around, to keep them alive.

"Flordia" she answered watching the second rabbit cook. "Aren't you going to eat?" She asked watching Gabby stare absentmindedly into the trees. Beth had a feeling Gabby was different from her far beyond ehr knowledge. She decided to tell her more about her past. "I ran away from home about 2 years ago. I think my parents think I am dead they havent even tried looking for me." She said.
Salty tears entered her eyes. "I think it was a mistake to run away."
