Personality: Chaz Le'Kryo has a distant personality to strangers though he can be warm and light-hearted when in the company of friend's or allies. When in battle his normal light-heartiness is quickly replaced by a cold and calculating fighter his focus becomes intense.
History: Chaz Le'Kryo was born to noble family and was thought to be destined to be a knight. Early on in his childhood he began his training an quickly excelled in the exercises. He was thought to be his family's saving grace in the upcoming wars with rival families exhibiting both qualities of a natural leader with the other children and high combat performance. However, shortly after his tenth birthday a seer came to his family's castle and brought out the hidden magical potential in the boy, the seer predicted that boys powers were chaotic and untamed and had the seedlings of destruction sown about his blood though whether for good or bad he could to be sure.
Chaz's parents could not take the risk of having a potentially dangerous child in the times before the war. Magic in this part of the world was misunderstood for not being a gift, but rather a curse, a disease that overtook nature an turned the words of the the gods to dust. The Family would need all the blessings if they were to survive the house wars to come, and surely no god would look favorably on a child that dared walk in their territory. and so his parents ordered that he be kidnapped in his sleep and any word of his abilities be stopped by any means necessary. Some of the witnesses to the seers prophecy suddenly became rich and prosperous and heard nothing of any seer. Others mysteriously left town without a word to anyone else and were never heard from again.
The Night of the kidnapping Chaz was taken form his bed, and before he could utter a cry of alert was knocked unconscious by his former knight mentor with the pommel of his blade. Silently, the mentor took Chaz deep into the forests near the castle, tens of miles of terrain he crossed until he was at the foot of a mountain in a forest so thick no light could be seen through the dense brush for miles and there he left his former student who has has so much potential. He did not want to do this deed. But he knew that his first duty was always to the safety of the people and as far as he knew, Chaz was a safety hazard. He was about to leave the boy behind when he spotted a cave in the side of the mountain and, in a bout of pity laid the boy in the back of the 10 foot deep cavern. When he returned to the mouth and looked into the nearby brush he say eyes, hungry and relentless in them. and he knew that no matter what, his deed would be accomplished, whether by the mean predators that undoubtedly ay behind those eyes, or the biting cold of the harsh winter. He left then for the home he felt he had saved, though in his heart he felt no better.
Although his mentor had felt that Chaz was undeniably doomed in the cold wasteland he had not accounted for two things, the first was that the predators in the brush were not as vicious as they appeared, and the second, was the boys innate magic which had exiled him from the kingdom in the first place. As Chaz Lay down unconscious in the biting cold, one of the creatures ventured forth from the brush, a wolf cub stumbled bravely ahead of his cautious kin and poked his head inside of the cavern, though the growls from its parents issued in stern warning, the cub went inside anyway, looking to see what the strange creature his pack was so cautious of was. He found the Boy lying on the ground and did not see anything wrong with him, no claws, sharp teeth, or dangerous colors. Perhaps his family was merely overcautious. Only then did the boys innate magic kick in, closing off the entrance to the cave in thick wall of ice keeping back the biting air and cause force his body to warm up. the cub, having no way out and nothing better to do, laid down next to the sleeping child.
The next morning Chaz awoke to find himself in a strange and unfamiliar environment, the cub sitting patiently and staring at him, curious it seemed. Chaz cautiously stuck his hand out as he had been taught to do with strange canines and allowed the wolf to sniff his hand, it did so and seemed to have no problem with him. Chaz, barely remembering the night before as he had been unconscious, walked to the cave wall where the ice veil stood. He needed to escape, surely no cave could have an unlimited supply of air, and as he felt this, his body natural energy seemed to flare up and a mysterious presence surfaced clear and easily and the ice returned to the wall from which it had sprung. Chaz ventured forth from the cave and traveled with the wolf until he came to a small town where he came upon the very seer who had caused his exiled where he heard a completely unadulterated version of what had transpired.
Angry and betrayed Chaz cast away his family's name and allowed himself to be trained by the seer in the ways of magic. All the time keeping in company the one friend who never betrayed him, the wolf who had been by his side since the cave. Early on in his training it became apparent that Chaz was as gifted with magic as he was with a sword, when the seer spoke of magic's connection to nature and asked Chaz to feel for it the first thing that he felt was the presence of his canine companion and one solid, clear though pierced his mind 'Hello, it is about time' though the boy developed a telekinetic bond to his wolf (who revealed his name was strangely 'Moose') though Chaz could tap into any of the magical elements his real forte came with the school of frost. Frost had been the original element he had tapped into and is what had brought his magical abilities to surface, when it came to that element his could summon it as effortlessly as blinking. The seer quickly realized that along with the boys natural adaption to his newfound power, his young mind aided him in using it, being young he was constantly full of new ideas for how he could apply and use his magic and he could come up it spectacular spells that made the recognized and orthodox spells of trained circle mages look like child's play in comparison.
Mere months after his 17th birthday, Chaz was struck with another tragedy, the seer, his new mentor, who had taken him in in provided him with a home in a confusing new world passed away of old age. He and moose (who had both gown substantially over the past seven years) left the seers home and began to travel the world.
