Sitting in front of a small fire that was almost burnt out Eddy looked to the sky the stars twinkling in his sky blue eyes while he was surrounded by darkness the only light coming from the embers in the fire pit. The young boy didn’t know what he was going to dream tonight, but it was probably going to be like every other it was always nightmares of death and Noxis taking over. He never really felt like he had gotten a good sleep since he had accepted this stupid demon in to his life. It felt almost like yesterday that it happened, getting lost meeting this thing inside him and never being able to go home again, oh how he missed his mommy and daddy by this time though they had probably forgotten about him and had a new child to take his place. How it always made him sad to think about. What if they really did forget about him?
Then hearing his voice again in the back of his head as if nails scratching against his brain he grabbed his head while is started to throb “the forgot about you no one loves you now every time you go to sleep I remind them of what you become by killing everyone I walk by” shaking his head Eddy his the side of his head and yelled “shut up Noxis that’s not funny.”
And then silence once more Eddy really didn’t know what he liked more the quiet or someone to talk to even if it was a demon who had ruined his whole life.

Jake stumbled through the dark forest he had foolishly decided to continue moving as long as possible before dark hoping he would finally make it out of this maze of a forest he had been trapped in. The decision was very unlike him and he regretted it with good reason as he tripped over rocks and roots. Sweat trickled down his face and his stomach growled with hunger, when he had left his city he did not imagine he would meet his end before even reaching another city but this dense forest seemed to almost play tricks on him. It was almost like whenever he woke up it had moved itself. Regardless he was in a bind now and had to decide what to do. He suddenly stopped moving and put his arms down from out in front of him he felt behind him and found a tree to lean on where he began to weigh his options. If he were to continue on it is possible he could find the exit to this forest therefore continuing on would be the best choice. He shook his head, no that wouldn't be right. He was so tired he couldn't even think this through properly and he decided if his brain is of no use he is of no use, it was time for rest.
Jake moved forward a bit attempting to find a patch of fairly comfortable ground when he noticed the small flickering of a fire. He had to rub his eyes to make sure they weren't deceiving him. Jake moved at a much faster pace now, if there was a fire perhaps there was some food as well, he felt saliva begin to collect in his mouth and his pace quickened.
Nearly at the camp he could hear the crackling of the fire. He looked to see who was there but saw nobody from his angle, he realized far to late he probably should have been stealthier and scouted out the campsite but his exhaustion and hunger got the better of him. He stepped into the small amount of light that the fire offered and into the clearing and breathed a sigh of relief to be in a space big enough to fully stretch his arms. He still had not even looked around to see who was sitting in the clearing that he had stumbled to.

Looking up at the man who stumbled in to the light Eddy tilted his head in confusion and jumped to his feet. He was happy to see another person someone to talk to finally besides Noxis, but then it hit him what if he fell aleep while this guy was here and he couldn’t tell him go away ill eat you if you don’t. what was there to do thinking about his options Eddy scratched the side of his head and remembered he still hadn’t introduced himself.
“I’m sorry my name is Eddy… you should be hungry, umm the best I have is cooked rat meat I promes it wont make you sick I have been eating it for years.. their the easiest thing to catch and kill.” Smiling the whole time he spoke he had a happy tone to his voice it was really nice to see someone new but he still had to think about how he was going to stay up all night if this guy was going to stay around.
Then hearing the scratching again Noxis spoke mm fresh meat he looks like he doesn’t taste to bad actually, lots of meat on his bones then hitting himself in the head once more Eddy whispered “shut up”

Jake was startled to hear the voice from behind him, he hadn't even noticed walking right by the person. He was glad to hear the voice sound so welcoming though, if it had been a thief he would have been at his mercy. Jake turned to greet Eddy and was surprised when he had to look down. What was a child doing in the middle of the forest by himself? Jake had never been so happy to smell cooked rat, in fact he had probably never been excited for it in his life but at the moment he could eat just about anything.
"Oh, hello Eddy. My name is Jake. I'm sorry to barge in on your campsite so late but as you probably guessed I have been wandering through these forests for sometime and it shames me to admit but have never been so lost." He moved towards the boy and held out his hand to shake.
"If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing out here by yourself? Where are your parents?" As usual his curiosity forced his tongue he hoped it would not offend the boy. Jake took the food from the boy and began to eat attempting to maintain his manners by not stuffing his face, though at that point he certainly could have.
With his stomach satisfied his focus was moved to his surroundings. The crackling of the fire and the breeze shaking the leaves of the trees against each other put him at ease, birds sung called to each other calmly and his stress began to fade. Jake examined the boy, his clothing would make it seem he had been in the wild for some time because of how dirty it was. Jake looked around a second time to make sure he hadn't missed another person at the camp.

Looking up at the young the smile left his face when the subject of his parents came up it wasn’t that he shouldn’t wonder where his family was but it had been so long ago that he was told that he could not go home because of the demon who he now housed in his body, “umm.. well I ran away from home and haven’t been back there for” and then he stopped and started to count on his fingers trying to think of how long it had really been the last time he was his parents “well it has been a really long time.”
Then looking away from the man Eddy looked and the fine and picked up a log from his collection of old dead wood he had found around the forest during the day and threw in to the fire. “so enough about me, why are you here what brings you to this part of the world.” It was like Eddy had grown up a lot in the last number of years learning things that most people would not in such a short time. Like loss and how to survive in the forest. “oh and don’t worry about being lost its not so shameful when your in a place like this all the trees look the same really so you should be walking around in circles for all yeah know Jake.” Looking back up to the man as he spoke Eddy let a slight smile cross his face as he chucked at himself for stating the obvious.
It felt so long since the last time Eddy had any company but who would really want to accompany a demon for longer then a few seconds before running away in fear of that fact that they might be eaten.

Listening to the boy speak sounded very odd as the boy himself spoke like a much older person. Jake assumed that the boy had been on his own for a long enough time that he had be forced to mature himself in order to survive. It made him sad to think that the boy was not experiencing an education as he himself had received, something he would always cherish. What made this even more saddening to him was that Eddy had not chosen to go about with education, at least he assumed once again judging by the boys appearance and maturity.
Suddenly realizing he had zoned out a bit, what with the food and memories of schooling, he blinked and opened his eyes somewhat wider. "Oh yes, well I have been travelling for quite some time, I left my village to seek out knowledge that I believe may only be found if looked for." Jake looked to the boy once more, he was attempting to find a better way to say what he meant but it wasn't so easy to translate since it wasn't really a typical thing to believe.
He finished off the rat that he had been given and thanked Eddy, he took out the waterskin he had filled up at a river today and offered some to Eddy before drinking it himself.
It was getting really late and Jake had been travelling for days he struggled to keep his eyelids, which felt heavier than a boulder, from closing he didn't want to seem impolite. He checked on the moon, astronomy sure came in handy in the wilderness, it was about midnight.

a figure, cloaked in sand-coloured cloth, walked slowly between the moonlit trees. his breath was raspy, but his footfalls were as gentle as a sparrows. from Benieth his hood his eyes glowed. glowed with the memory of sand and time. he was a long way from home. following his senses, he navigated the dark forest, hoping to find a clearing to camp in for the night. the smell of burning wood and roasting meat filled his nose. ajusting his route, he headed towards the origins of the smell. cauciously he approached a fire.

As his eyelids started to feel heavier and heavier his vision started to go blurry and before he even knew it he had fallen asleep without even noticing that the newcomer was there. As Eddy lowered his head upon his arms his breathing slowed and he body became limp it was peaceful but only for seconds after a few moments spikes started to pierce through Eddy’s shirt as scales started to grow from his skin. Growing at an alarming rate the now large figure moved slowly as its tail swung knocking a number of trees around the three of them.
As the huge demon looked over at the newcomer it licked its lips and cracked its knuckles before lunging forward and while at the same time summoning demons around the hooded figure.
It was almost like a dream looking through this demons eyes helpless to do anything while Noxis was in control he was just so powerful it was almost like he could at any time put Eddy in to a never ending sleep but for all the time that Noxis took control Eddy held him back as well.

Jake stared almost in disbelief, such a sweet kid as Eddy had been hiding something pretty big from him. He shot up and bolted to take cover behind a tree as he readied his bow and arrow. Back against the bark of the tree he hurried himself expecting to be attacked at any moment judging by the rage in Eddy's voice and eyes.
However, the time did not come and he heard Eddy moving in the other direction. Jake was now extremely confused and curious, and when he becomes curious its never a good thing. Jake stepped out from behind his cover with his bow ready only to drop it down to his side seeing Eddy had gone in the complete opposite directions and seemed to be quite preoccupied. He almost felt shunned.
Jake kept a safe distance and traveled in a circle to see what it was Eddy was occupied with. The darkness had all but consumed the forest and his quick steps worked against him as he moved. Once around, and in sight, he saw the other man standing near Eddy, he could not tell what was going on between the two but it seemed as if Eddy no longer had control of himself, a whole new person.
Jake looked over to the two of them for awhile before realizing he should find out what was going on.
"Hello! What's going on!" he shouted over hoping he hadn't stumbled into something much bigger than himself.

Turning his head quickly the large red skinned, fiery eyed demon peered over at Jake looking back to his original pray, losing sight of who he had started the fight with Noxis turned fully so that he was facing Jake. reaching out his hand he pointed at the younger man and the made his hand in to a fist, opening his hand the palm ignited in a blue flame Noxis then swung his arm and threw three bolts of blue fire toward the ground where they would grow feeding on the plant life surrounding Jake.
Walking forward the huge red beast seemed to be smiling but did not speak a word, his fists once again clenched while he walked toward Jake a small quake to the ground with every step he took. Coming to the edge of the fire he looked down at the human and grunted breathing out dark smoke came from between his huge fangs.
The fire once again starting to move it now started to become three smaller demons that were all connecting to make a small fire wall.

Jake looked upon the beast maintaining his composure. Visions of his training flashing through his head we will hold this spot! he brought his bow to the ready position. Questions raced through his mind but ones he did not believe this beast would answer, was this really Eddy? Could he be reached? This was no time for questions though.
Life shriveled and withered all around him in the heat of the blue circle surrounding him he began to aim his sight flowing along the smooth craftsmanship of the arrow. His skill was unmatched in his village, but he had not fought a daemon such as this before, it was time to put his skills to the test.
"Eddy if that is you..." He set his aim where his sight lay, "...Forgive me." The arrow fired out of his bow ripping through the wind that went by them piercing through the fire surrounding and towards the knee cap of the beast.
Without a moment's wait he continued firing aiming at all the daemons joints, elbows, knees. He shouted as his arrows rained, "EDDY! YOU DON'T WANT THIS!" He did not speak in threats, he was attempting to bring the humanity forth in Eddy, for him to fight against this evil that would do harm to a new friend.
Jake knew from the darkness of the forest there was still about an hour before sunrise.

Hearing his name Eddy began to awaken feeling it Noxis set all his attention on keeping eddy asleep, falling to his knees the large red demon dug his claws in to the ground while he was having trouble with keeping Eddy asleep, the three fire demons exploded setting the tree behind jack aflame while Noxis began to cringe at the feeling of Eddy taking over raising his fists his smashed them against the ground and curled over.
The spokes returning in to his back while his tail did the same Eddy’s skin started to turn back to his soft human skin that was covered by scars, wounds given to him while he had been out living in this terrible black place it was always so dark here even when dusk came around it was almost impossible to find it through the branches.
Looking back to Jake Eddy had a look of fear upon his face not for what he thought he would think of him but what that demon had done while he was in control. Standing up his shirt torn to shreds while his pants were ripped, looking down to see all this, the young boy walked to the tent he had made by leaning broken beaches leaning up to a tree that had fallen over and grabbed a black zip up hoodie throwing it on he walked back over with the hood up. Looking over Jakes way Eddy looked down and said “sorry” while he started to walk away.
