Izin grunted as Lila pounced, knocking him to the ground. His magnums went flying, and he saw a dagger homing in on his chest. He put his hand out, trying to deflect it... The blade entered his body right below his ribcage. Blood spurted from the wound, splashing onto Lila. "Rule one..." Izin coughed, wrapping a powerful hand around Lila's neck. "Never engage the Avatar of Fear in melee if you want to continue your existence." His eyes flashed, and Lila found her mind filled with images so warped and twisted, so agonizingly horrible, she couldn't help but scream in pure, unadulterated Fear. Izin pulled the dagger out of his chest as he stood, leaving Lila's shriveled corpse lying on the ground behind him. His eyes glowed with Fear as he summoned his khopesh, the blade materializing in his outstretched hand. He strode forward, his aura making the evil and twisted creatures around him cower in terror. Almost none dared touch him, and those who did had their life or unlife forces drained from their bodies in mere seconds. He grew even more powerful, seeming to become a vengeful god as he strode to Drake. With a lash of Fear, he struck dead two priests who were attacking Amira, the energy lancing through their bodies and ripping their spirits out. He lashed out again, killing three priests within the next two seconds. He then drew a small cylinder from his belt, pulled a pin, then hurled it at the remaining priests with unerring accuracy. The grenade detonated, showering the area with sparkling metallic dust. It irritated the priests skin, making them hesitate and scratch at itches and attempt to get the dust out of their eyes. However, after a mere five seconds, the dust flashed poisonous green as the priests started to dissolve. Izin grinned wickedly, relishing in the agonized scream as the microscopic nanites consumed several priests. *** Saren nodded to himself, ears ringing painfully from the scream as he skidded to a halt. He looked back, assessing the damage. The horde wouldn't be able to get through for at least a few minutes. He jogged away from the rubble, then set Terri down on a fallen wall that was at waist height. He looked down at the limp, unconscious form of Terri. So vulnerable, so...easy to take advantage of... No, he could not start thinking like that. He shook his head fiercely, but found he couldn't drag his eyes away from the young woman. Unable to help himself, he leaned over her, hands roaming about her body. So...easy to just fulfill the evil pleasures flooding his mind... He could have his way with the attractive girl, then kill her slowly, painfully, and leave the body for the horde to devour; it would be even better if she was alive and squealing. No one would ever be the wiser... Saren growled in frustration and his hands slipped under Terri's clothing, massaging her breasts and in between her legs, his lips kissing patterns over her stomach. With a momentous push of will, he dragged his hands and mouth away. He staggered back, then slammed his head against the wall. The wall cracked and shattered from the impact. He picked Terri up one more, then started walking towards the secure area, forcing his eyes to stare forward instead of glaring hungrily at the...delicious woman in his arms...

Amira landed on a near by roof as she turned to see Izin laying out the priests one after another. She then met his eye and nodded a thank you as she turned her attention back to Drake. Seeing the light around him beginning to flash she leaped back to the ground and headed toward him. Stopping right before she hit the force field she watched it flash a few more times before rushing threw it when it was off.
Smiling big she looked up at Drake and shouted, "You're losing your touch sir!" She leaped into the air and landed on top of the monsters back facing Drake. "I warn you Drake! Stop this now or you will be sorry!"
.................................
Zero smiled at his enemy. "Come now Asim! I thought we had something specail. It felt so good, didn't it? I mean you were really getting into it. I know I was. Come on baby. Lets do it again!" He purred as he licked his lips to try and get into his head.
Suddenly Rachel appeared by Asim's side. "Well, now. Daddy's little girl now coming to play. Maybe we can have a three some. What do you think puppet?"
"Go f*ck yourself Zero!" Rachel shouted.
"But, it would be even better if you both would join me. Come on. Lets get away from all this and have our own party." He said almost begging. "Come on puppet. Humor daddy! It would better then being here waiting for death!"
Rachel saw the undead walking toward them. She leaned over to Asim, "You lead and I will follow."
................................
Wolff and Cross stopped as Hawk moved around them and Ardolf came up on them. "I warn you both. If you don't back off and let me take her away I will through her into the pits of hell and watch her die!"
Ardolf stopped, "What does that f*cking mean!"
"Its means *sshole," Cross began, "That if you don't back off she is going to get bit by a zombie."
"Are you out of your every loving f*cking mind!" Hawk roared.
"If I can't have her no one can!" Wolff hissed.
Just then a bright light flashed as Mera and Peanut appeared. "Let her go or I will send you to hell!"
Wolff smiled at the angel. "You don't have that kind of power."
"Try me!" Peanut hissed.
"Drake has taken the power from everyone like a spong. There is no way that..." Wolff hissed at Cross. "Shut up!"
"So, that is what is happening!" Hawk said then turning his attention toward Peanut. "You go this here?"
"Go help her!" Peanut said.
Hawk rushed off toward Drake and Amira to help.
Peanut looked to Ardolf. "Do it!"
Ardolf rushed at Cross as Mera took a bat and rushed after him to help. Peanut rushed at at Wolff to hopefully stop him before he tried to run.
...........................
Grim and Bing still had Vandock held down to the ground and torturing him.
"Stop! Please!" Vandock cried hoping his suffering would end.
"Never you bastered!" Grim hissed.
Suddenly a grey furred werewolf came out of no where threwing his whole body into Bing. They went flying up against at least 4 different zombies taking them out. The werewolf got up and began to cratch and bite at Bing as he tried to fight back.
As Grim watched his dear friend in horror a woman appeeared out of no where and punched Grim so hard to the point he flew away from Vandock. Watching this Vandock looked up and saw the woman trying to help him by pulling out the harp00n.
"No! You can't be here!" Vandock shouted. He turned to see The Count in the darkness then he disappeared.
He looked to the woman then looked to Amira about ready to fight Drake. "Go help your husband. I will help Amira."
The vampire nodded and took off after the werewolf to help him fight against the other two vampires.

Asim gave a quick brief nod to Rachel, affirming her loyalty to see this through. Whatever was to happen here tonight, he would see that Zero met his end. One way or another. He had to do this, for Rachel, for himself and for Shadow.
Asim launched forward, driving into the other vampire with the force of a jackhammer. They wrestled across the ground, seemingly oblivious to all else happening around them. Asim pulled a wooden stake out of his hoodie top and swung it in an arch down towards Zero who blocked it and knocked the weapon out of the assassin’s hand. Asim head-butted Zero, confusing him for just enough time to snake his way behind him and wrap an arm around his throat. His other hand grabbed Zero’s wrist and twisted his arm behind his back. He held the vampire up before Rachel, grunting with the effort of keeping him still.
“Do it Rachel.” Asim said, kicking the stake towards her feet, not sure how long he would be able to hold the white-haired vampire. “Kill him. Nobody has more right to be his judge than you. His fate is yours…”…
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I don’t think that’s necessary.” Drake told Amira, a smug grin on his face. He could feel the pain of the last of his priests like a delicious echo. The final phase of his plan was in place. The attack on Red Blood, the horde… all a ruse to drive him towards THIS moment. The confrontation between himself and Amira Nuit.
“Master! Help us!” One of his acolytes begged, clawing at his disintegrating face as he stumbled towards Drake’s war beast.
Drake just laughed and uttered his final incantation. Dark tendrils of magic snaked out from his glowing green force field and started to converge on his own forces. The dying priest was the first to be struck and he was engulfed by the blackness. He uttered a terrible shriek before disappearing. His soul feeding straight into Drake.
Where Lila lay in her death spasms, the tendrils sought her supple body and dragged her across the ground before she vanished in the blackness.
All the vampires, demons and lab- experiments were being consumed alive by Drake’s dark magic, their powers and essence feeding him to an unprecedented level.
“Yes! Oh the power! It’s intoxicating!” Drake bellowed. His features distorting like a mirror image in a rippling pool.
“Drake! That b*stard has double-crossed us!” One vampire said to another. “Let’s get out of here!”
Drake smiled at Amira. “And now my dear… you have your chance…”… The growing green force field advanced towards her, consuming them both before they both vanished from the battle field.
The war beast Drake had been atop was now alone. It bellowed and charge at the nearest available enemy. Izin Kitnas.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Nick dropped to his knees on the mausoleum rooftop and clutched his head. He screamed at the unbearable pain as a dark tendril snaked it’s way towards him. He realised now that he had been one of Drake Von Cartesian’s experiments. He had been the one who had done all those things to him… and that’s how he knew Saren.
“Nooo!” Nick shouted, his eyes and nose streaming as he found he was unable to move…
-------------------------------------------------------
Drake and Amira reappeared in a dark green vortex. Where they actually where nobody could guess, but they were floating about like a pair of ghosts.
“Do you like it?” Drake asked the chosen one, his voice pulsing with the power he barely held in check. “This is a new universe I have created. Granted it isn’t finished yet, but when it is… we will be it’s gods! Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Doesn’t that sound like everything you have ever wanted? Complete dominion over everything. Imagine all the people you could protect? If you would just join with me. Of course we have to destroy the old world and everything in it… but you understand don’t you? Surely you’re a woman of vision? A vision of change?” He reached out to caress Amira’s cheek with his gloved finger. An electric spark of power coursed between them. He was obviously confident Amira would take his offer to become a god…
Drake didn’t plan on the fact he had also pulled Hawk into this dimension as well… and hadn’t noticed he was there yet.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Terri frowned in her delirium. She sensed she had been tampered with in a way she would not appreciate, but was unable to do much to defend herself. She could only clutch at Saren as he carried her wherever he wished.
While her physical self remained in the mausoleum, her spiritual self was very much awake and aware. She was ser before her dead grandmother. The powerful Prophetess Babba Yama. Her grandmother spoke in a wordless voice but somehow Terri understood everything. She was told everything she needed to know about Drake, the reason for his hundred year absence from public life. He had been hunting the globe far and wide for a secret weapon. The legendary artefact that would enable him to carry the power of a god. He was no longer interested in this world, he saw it as nothing but a failure… he wished to destroy it and create his own. He knew he also needed the chosen one to agree to this. She would be his Eve.
“I know what I have to do. I miss you Grandmother.” Terri replied, a single tear working it’s way down her face. She consoled herself that one day they would be reunited in the afterlife.
Speaking directly to Hawks mind, whom she knew had made it into the vortex that held Drake and Amira; she said. “Hawk! The source of Drake’s power is in an amulet he wears around his neck. It will be under his shirt! To undo everything that has happened you must destroy it!”
She hoped Hawk managed to receive her message. Either he could destroy the amulet or atleast make sure Amira knew what she had to do.
Terri whimpered as she felt her mind return to her body. Either way… everything would end soon…

Saren shuddered as Drake's magic snagged him, making him drop the now conscious Terri. He found himself unable to move as the energy coalesced around him, ready to absorb his essence. *** Izin looked up at the charging creature, nonplussed. "I've fought bigger." He said to himself, readying his khopesh. A roar echoes around the battlefield, causing the war beast to pause. A massive platinum dragon hurtled out of the sky, slamming into the war beast and utterly flattening it. Arinus seemed to focus, psionic and magical energy swirling around him. *** Jias-Val stood on the bridge of his massive ship, hands outstretched over a pair of orbs that would direct the main gun. The viewscreen before him showed the vessel was rapidly approaching Earth, nose first. Energy swirled around his hands, targeting orbs spinning and adjusting. The view zoomed in, showing Arinus streaking towards the battlefield. Jias nodded to himself, hand sparking to activate the main gun. Arinus was almost there... "And...firing." He muttered, hands clenching into fists. The gun on the end of the ship lit up, Energy coalescing around it. With a low humming sound, the beam of Energy fired, streaking right for the dragon. *** A multicolored beam of Energy lit up the sky, searing through the clouds as it raced towards Arinus. Once it hit the dragon, the beam was converted into something other than pure destructive Energy. The beam ended after a second, all the energy being absorbed by Arinus. The dimensional dragon roared once more, and a shockwave of psionically and magically charged energy spread across the battlefield, shearing Drake's connection to his minions. About half of the power-crazed vampire's army remained, however. *** Sargent collapsed, released from the evil spell. He struggled to get up, but merely fell back to the ground, completely exhausted. His vision was blurry as he looked at Terri, one hand's finger touching her shoulder. *** Jias' ship warped in, covering the entire battlefield in shadow. The bottom opened up, allowing an army of various creatures spill out, bellowing war cries as they engaged the disoriented remnants of Drake's army. Jias-Val was at the front of the army, shimmering form cleaving through the mutated and undead ranks with ease.

Rachel had the steak in hand. Looking at it she looked to Zero who was smiling at her. Speaking to her within her mind he said, 'Do it baby girl. Kill me. Its the only way to stop me.'
'I know but I think Shadow should be the one, not me.'
'Come on sweety. Shadow wouldn't hesitate. That is why she is so specail. Even as a vampire you have no damn back bone. You're so weak. Why did I even waste me time with you?'
Rachel anger grew into pure rage. She began to scream as she rushed over toward him rushing the steak at his chest. Just before she pierced him he chatted a spell. One word and as he said it and Rachel's face was just an inch from his there was a sudden spark, then Rahcel stabbed Zero's chest and his body was turned to dusk but was he gone?
Rachel began to scream as she held her face. She fell the the grown and began to buck and kick fighting to gain control. Looking toward Asim she whispered, "Kill me." As her eyes went from blue to silver. "Asim, kill me now!"
She began to buck and kick again. Zero had tranferd his mind inside Rachel. The second to the last spell Drake allowed him to do before all the power was gone....
(Inside Rahcel:
"Let go baby girl!" Zero said.
"NO! I will fight you until I die!"
"Come now, Rachel. The world is coming to an end. Just give us this. Give us each other. I love you."
"f*ck you!"
Zero then began to chant again. Rachel rushed toward him but a cage appeared around her.
"Let me out!" Rachel screamed!
"I will never let you go again," Zero said then walked away from her."
(Now Zero takes control of Rachel's body.)
Looking up at Asim Zero smiled. "Hi, Asim." He slowly stood. "Its me sexy man. How about round two? It might be a little more enjoyable looking at this face then mine own. What do you say?"
..............................................
Amira pulled away from him. "Are you out of your ever loving mind? I want that world back there I grew up in. Its everything to me Drake, can't you understand that?"
She looked into his eyes. "Please don't take that away from me."
........................
Hawk moved behind Drake as he began to listen to a woman's voice. He knew her, didn't he? Listening to her words he smiled knowning what he hand to do. Just had to wait for the right moment.
................................
"Drake please. I don't wish to be a god," she said trying to grab ahold of whatever sense he had left within him. If she could try and talk him down then he wouldn't have to die. She had to try. Then she saw Hawk floating behind Drake. She kept her emotions in check.
"What do you say Drake? I don't want to leave MY world behind..."
................................................
Peanut shot Cross with a lighting bolt and fell down dead. He turned to Wolff and said, "Let her go."
Wolff looked down at his dead friend and looked back at Peaunt and said, "Look at the time. I really must be going."
"Good," Peanut began, "And if I see you near Ariel again I will kill you."
"Noted!" Wolff turned and rushed off.
Then they turned to see Nick following.
"Come here," Peanut said to Ariel and Ardolf and Mera. They disappeared and reappeared on the roof top beside Nick. "Hold on buddy." Peanut put his hands on Nicks chest and a power surge went threw his hands into Nick. "Now, that will help you stay alive for a little while until Amira and Hawk stop Drake. Hopefully..."
..............................
The Count reappeared next to Grim and Bing. "Let go of my son!" He shouted as he kicked Grim so hard he went flying threw the air.
He then looked to Bing. "I will pay you so much more then Grim if you go kill him."
Bing looked from Grim to The Count. "Done." He turned and rushed at Grim...

Terri found herself laying against a wall as all havoc reigned around her. She barely had any memory of her dream world encounter with her dead relative as consciousness hit her like a brick. She coughed and blinked against the chips of concrete that sprinkled down from above; dust streaked her black hair with white specks. “Saren?” She called, her throat hoarse. “Saren where are--?” Terri turned and saw a dark tendril of power converging over the man. She screamed as she ran forward to try and see if she could help. The magic was too powerful and pushed her back.
“No! You can’t die!” She shrieked. Feeling all hope lost. Surely they were all going to die?
Suddenly something outside must have happened as the dark magic receded before it could harm Saren too much. Terri wiped tears out of her eyes as she immediately knelt by his side and rested his head on her lap. She felt his finger touch her shoulder and she grabbed his hand. “It’s okay.” She whispered soothingly. “Everything is going to be okay now.” They had played their part in this battle. She hoped they had done enough for their side to count. Even though Terri knew what Drake’s ultimate goal was now, if Amira failed to stop him from creating his new universe… they would all be dead soon…
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“No!” Asim shouted, his mind reeled at what just happened. There was no doubt who had just set up shop in Rachel‘s body. He knew what he had to do. For Rachel’s sake…
“Rachel forgive me.” He cried and grabbed up the stake she had used to dust Zero. He lunged at the girl, stabbing down with the weapon, ready to end her suffering…
… Suddenly another vampire shoved headlong into him. Then another and another as hordes of monsters and people were fleeing the battlefield. Asim shouted curses and obscenities as he fought against the mob, desperately trying to get back through to where Rachel was… but when he got back she had disappeared.
“Zero!” Asim shouted, but there was no sign of his possessed thrall. He spun around looking everywhere but saw only desperate, running people. He dropped to his knees in defeat, the stake fell from his loose fingers and rolled across the cobblestones. Tears of blood ran down his dust smeared face as he gazed up at the dark green magic that blocked out the sky. If they weren’t all about to die, he vowed to never rest until he had hunted down Rachel and saved her from her fate worse than death…
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nick had nearly been killed by the dark magic before it suddenly receded. The pain left his mind but his body was wracked with a terrible seizure. It seemed he would perish regardless. A huge dark shadow had covered the battlefield, some sort of reinforcements had arrived to aid against Drake’s army… better late than never. Nick allowed himself a wry smile, he knew he was going to die but at his reckoning they were going to win this…
Nick suddenly felt some people at his side, he felt a white, curing light reaching into him, healing him. He dared to open his eyes a crack and found himself peering up at the oddest mix of people he had ever seen in his life. “Hey… who’re you guys?” He said, grinning. Then he recognised one of them. “Oh Ardolf, how’s it hangin’ buddy?” He winked at the two women as he sat up, feeling more and more like his old self with every passing moment, though he felt a little dizzy. The world may be about to end as he knew it, everybody he had ever met about to be destroyed by a vortex and he couldn‘t help but hit on the nearest pair of pretty faces. “Who’s your two friends?”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Drake shook his head to Amira. No more smiles, no more mocking… this was what fate had in store for them. There was no avoiding the inevitable.
“In a few moments your world won’t even exist.” He told her. “Everybody you have ever cared about, hated… loved… will cease to be. If you won’t join me willingly Amira, I have the power to MAKE you. Nothing can resist me now… I am without limits.”
Drake cast his hand over the blank canvass of his new universe. Mountains rose in places where there wasn’t even earth. Rivers ran deep between newly spawned hillsides. A sun appeared that didn’t burn the vampire lords flesh. The new world was shaping itself exactly as he wished it and it all existed in the magical vortex he controlled.
“I will create new life here. Flawless un-defeatable life. The perfect experiment. AMEN!”
Suddenly Drake sensed another presence. Behind him. He whirled about and glared at Hawk. “You dare intrude on a God as he builds his world? You will be the first to die in this sacred place!” He reached out, his hand was no where near the other man but his power seized him and held him fast.
“Watch Amira… “ Drake hissed, slowly clenching his fist. “I am going to crush the life out of this pathetic wretch. Any last words young man?”
As he concentrated on his attempt to murder Hawk, Drake had left his back exposed to Amira, confident that she would not be able to harm him even if she tried. He could feel the pulsing of his powerful amulet against his bare flesh under his shirt. After all… they didn’t know about the source of his power…

Zero stood on top of a roof top far away from the battle field. He blew a kiss towards where he had left Asim. "We love you," he whispered. As he turned and watched as a portal had began to open up. Drake had timed this battle just right. He had to be in this spot right at this time for him to disappear into another realm before this realm had vanished.
In his mind he spoke to Rachel. 'We will be happy together Rachel. Just you and me. Together, forever.'
'No! Asim! Nick! Someone! Anyone!'
'No one can hear you my love. All we have is each other.'
He turned and looked back at the war. Soon this world will be gone. His Shadow will be gone but at least he had Rachel. He can start anew with her and that is what he had planned. Soon he will get out of her body. Find one for him and they will live their lives just the two of them. The thought excited him so he turned and walked threw the portal and smiled as it closed behind him.
................................................
Peanut smiled down at him as he stood and helped him to his feet. "You will be fine, for now..." He sensed another in need and disappeared and reappeared next to Terri and Saren. Looking at Terri with his ice blue eyes, he said, "Stand back." Kneeling to his knees he placed his hands on Saren chest and did the same thing he did to Nick. Placing his hands on his chest a shock ran threw his body so he could stay with them long enough for Amira and Hawk to stop Drake. Hopefully it would work.
Looking at Terri he said, "He will be fine for the time being. Come we must..."
Suddenly a zombie jumped on Peanut and was about to bite down but a giate albio werewolf clawed the zombie off of him. Looking back at the werewolf Peanut smiled but then it faded as he realized it wasn't Amira.
"Oh, god it can't be..." he was in pure shock.
The Count and Vandock made their way over towards them. Peanut turned to them and began to shout, "You bastards! All this god damn time! I can't believe I didn't see... How could you do this to her?! Why?!"
The Count sighed, "I owned her this."
"But, now she is going to... God no!" Peanut shouted as he disappeared and reappeared next to Ardolf, Nick and the others.
"What's wrong," Ardolf asked.
Peanut pointed as the werewolf jumped up on the roof. Everyone turned as Ardolf fell to his knees.
"Oh, god..." Ardolf pushed out. The albino werewolf walked over to him as a woman leaped from another roof top beside him. Both looked down at him with a smile. "This can't be real!" Ardolf screamed as he began to cry but the woman touched him.
"Its real Ardolf. We are here and we are very much real..." Anna said.
Greek put a hand on his old friends shoulder. "Its good to see you."
"I...uh...Amira...." Then Ardolf fainted.
"Ardolf!" Ariel shouted as she rushed over to him.
Peanut sighed. "Amira is in another realm trying to save the world. Lets hope even though she doesn't know your both still alive she still has something to fight for...."
...........................
Mera looked to Nick and began to help him. "I am Mera. Is there anything I can do for you?"
................................
As Drake held Hawk in place he was still able to yell out, "The amulet around his neck....destroy......it." As Drake opened his hand up and Hawk's body was destroyed into nothing but blood.
"No!" Amira screamed as she rushed Drake and grabbed ahold of his neck. They began to struggle as she grabbed ahold of the last words Hawk shouted and knew he couldn't die in vein. She twisted hard and pulled away taking the amulet with her. Pushing away from him she held it up and said, "No one f*cks with my world b!tch! This is where you get off!" Being in her werewolf form she crushed the amulet in her power wolf like hand and the world that began to try and form life around her began to suddenly fall apart around her.
"Its over Drake! Do you really want me to die?! Send me back! Send us back and I promise to help you. Please Drake!" She felt the need to help this man even though he murdered Hawk before her eyes. Yes, he was evil and tried to destroy the world but Amira was a creature of habbit. She had to save the world and everyone in it so she wanted to see if he could be saved. Everyone could be. Vandock was, hell even The Count might even had been. She grabbed ahold of him. "What's it going to be?"

Nick blinked as the stranger who healed him suddenly vanished without a word. “I wish people would stop doing that.” Nick muttered, then heard Mera’s offer to do something for him.
Nick shook his head. “I’ll be fine. Thanks. I just want to know what’s up with…” He pointed into the air. “…That.”
Above Red Blood City, the sky was crackling with electrical energy, the pulsing green light that had seemed ready to obliterate everything in it’s path was starting to recede into itself. Something somewhere had been done to stop the vortex from destroying them all. It seemed life as everyone knew it wasn’t about to end after all.
Nick grinned, happy that the battle was finally won. They had gone up against un-defeat able odds and somehow come out victorious. Suddenly the smile vanished from his face as he remembered something. “Rachel! Where’s Rachel?” He left Mera and vaulted over the side of the building. He ran towards where he saw her last and found Asim kneeling on the floor. The vampire assassin looked like he was the only one on Amira’s side who wasn’t happy.
“What happened to Rachel?” Nick asked warily. He never much cared for Asim, but the sight of him on his knees with streaks of blood running down his cheeks like tears made Nick feel bad.
Asim shook his head, he looked as if he was deciding the best way to explain. “She’s dead.” He finally said. “She died taking out that b*stard Zero.”
“Oh.” Nick couldn’t find any words to explain how he was feeling. He sat down beside Asim. The pair of them waiting in silence to see what would happen next as their reinforcements made short work of Drake’s remaining warriors.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Terri was pleased Saren had been healed and would survive. Though he frightened her, they had worked well together to defend the lower chambers. She told herself that was the only reason she was interested in his survival. It wasn’t like she had grown a crush on him or anything.
“I can’t wait for this to be over. And to be away from this terrible city.” She said, wiping tears from her cheeks.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
“What’s it going to be?” Drake repeated, his eyes blazing with eternal burning rage. “You have just destroyed everything I held precious. Foiled my master plan and took away my powers! Of course I am going to kill you! Foolish harlot! You could have had it all! The power! The will over everything that existed and you threw it away because of your simpleton world and your loser friends? You deserve worse than death! Killing you will be the last thing I am going to do!”
Drake slapped Amira’s hand away from him and made the closing fist motion at her, the same way he had done to Hawk. He would crush the life out of her with the last bit of power he had…
…With the wind and forces swirling around them, debris started raining across them and Drake suddenly felt something stab his back and come protruding out of his chest.
“Wha--?” Drake coughed and stammered as he looked down at himself. One of Hawk’s bones had caught him in the whirlwind and staked him through the heart. “Oh this has got to be some kind of jo--”
Drake threw back his head, his mouth opening in a silent scream as his body turned to ashes and joined the swirling winds of the vortex. There was a magnificent explosion and suddenly Drake’s world was no more. Amira Nuit would be knocked unconscious by the power of the explosion…
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EPILOGUE:
(A few hours later.)
“Amira? Hey I think she’s coming round.” Nick grinned down at Amira as she opened her eyes to find him and all of her closest friends stood around her. She had been put to rest on a cot in the makeshift infirmary they had set up in a huge tent outside the ruined mausoleum.
A light drizzle was raining down upon the city, almost as if nature was trying to wash away the filth Drake had caused. It ran down outside the entrance to the tent like a curtain made of water.
Asim stood near the doorway, he had stayed to see if Amira would pull through. He didn’t know her very well but hoped she would survive this.
“You must have taken a knock on the head at some point. One of your friends found you in the street.” Nick explained. “It looked like you had taken quite a fall. No sign of Drake, you remember what happened to him?” Nick turned to Peanut. “She’s gonna be okay right?”
Nearby stood Terri, she was hoping to overhear what Amira had to say as she went up to the injured one at a time to cure their light wounds and ease their pain.

As everyone stood around her with the emotion of hope and peace on their faces Amira sighed. This war was over but there would be more, she knew. At least they won this one. Sitting up she began to explain. "We were in a realm that he was trying to create and in order to do that he had to destroy this one and everything in it. Some how Hawk..." then she paused. Lowering her head she shed a tear for her fallen master, godfather, and friend. Even if he wasn't her true godfather he still had made her the woman she was today. He will live on threw her for sure...
"Hawk," she said swallowing hard. This isn't going to be easy, she thought. "He was some how there too. I guess as Drake opened his portal to enter his world Hawk jumped right in too. Anyway, we were floating in blackness. He wanted me to become a god with him of his new world. I was trying to talk him down when I saw Hawk hoping he could get the jump on him. But it didn't work that way."
She puased and relived the memory of Hawk being there smiling at her then nothing. "Drake felt him there and turned. He began to choke but it was like force choking from a far. Drake thought he had us but Hawk said something about an amulet around his neck. Not sure how he knew but I went for it and a part of me then stopped. Drake with a slit movement of his hand destroyed Hawk. It was like he blasted into nothing."
She began to cry at this point. Peanut moved and sat on the bed beside her. He took her in his arms as she cried into his chest. "He's gone P. He's really gone."
"I know sweety but he is watching over you," he said. She looked up at him. "Always."
She calmed down or at least enough to tell the rest of the story. "As Drake's back was to me I rushed at him and grabbed ahold of him. Floating threw the air he tried to stop me but without hurting me. Big mistake. I grabbed ahold of the amulet and twisted and pulled away from him. In my werewolf form I crushed it. He was not happy at this point and he began to choke me too but all of a sudden the world that he tried to create began to fall. It was like being insire a tornato. As he held me all of a sudden his smile disappeared as we both looked down. One of Hawk's bones went threw his chest and that was the end of Drake."
"That a boy!" Peanut said with a smile.
"Then I woke up here," Amira said as she looked around. "I am so happy to see you all. All my friends and..."
Ardolf stepped towards the bed. Smiling down at her he said, "Someone else is here to see you Amira."
"What?"
Standing in the back a man and a woman stepped forward. Both held each other as they walked unable to stand on their on. Smiling at her Amira looked puzzled, confussed at what was happening. Then she grabbed ahold of a gold heart locket around her neck. A picture of her mother and father within it. Looking at them she couldn't believe her eyes. "How....." she finally said.
Then Vandock and The Count stepped foward. She looked at them with expression that said they were sorry then turned and walked out.
Amira looked back at them and said, "Mom.....Dad.....I....." then passed out again.
Peanut held her tight and tried to awake her again. Looking at everyone he said, "She will be fine. After a battle like this and then finding out your parents are still alive...Well its alot to take it at once."
"No kidding," Greek said with a deep smooth laugh.
Ardolf looked to his friends. It was so weird to see them after all this years. Amira was a all grown and a strong woman at that. She had saved this world so many times maybe it was time for a new chosen one. Maybe the baby he had heard so much about was going to be her replacement. He wanted to give her freedom of choice but Hawk and Peanut never gave him the chose to raise her the way he wanted too. Maybe it was because he would have trained her like a father to a daughter and not as she needed to be. Hawk made her the strong warrior she is today and no one could take that away from her. It was fate the way it had all turned out. Destiny to end the way it did now. So what is next adventure going to be? He turned and saw Ariel standing in the corner and smiled at her. It had seemed his jounry would take him else where and let fate decide from there.
........................
Mera walked outside. She let the rain fall down on her face. It felt good to have it just rush down her. Her eyes closed as she thought of her friend. How he died to save her life. He had never left her side. Always there to protect her like a guard dog. She will miss him...
.............................
As Amira came back too she looked around and saw everyone still staring at her. "Sorry," she said as Peanut helped her out of bed. Looking around she said Asim. Something seemed to be bothering him. Walking over to him she asked, "Is everything ok?"
She had to have something distrack her from her parents, from Hawk, from the war. Taking a step back wasn't the answer either. She had to keep moving. Looking to the future and what was in store for her. She was the chosen one and had to keep moving forward. It was just the way Hawk had taught her.
"Must keep fighting," Hawk would say.
"But its to hard," little Amira whinned back.
"You can do this. Just need to focus."
"But..."
"No buts Amira. Do it!"
She jumped up and kicked as her foot met a wood board and broke it in half. Falling back down she fell on her feet. "I did it!"
"See, I told you that you could do it."
She rushed over to him and hugged him. "Yay!"
Must keep moving forward....

Saren stood some distance from the others, face unreadable as he considered them. He still had this...overwhelming hunger to Consume countless people, to gain limitless power and knowledge. His eyes flicked to Terri as he thought. He didn't know how he felt about her...she seemed important to him, and yet he wanted to be as far away from the young woman as possible. Maybe because of some sort of affection for the girl? His mouth twitched into a frown briefly as he considered the possibilities.
Izin was troubled. His friend and longtime ally Garnian was nowhere to be found, be it his body or severely injured form. Only his blood-spattered cane remained. At least Voro and Gwaed were alive, though the former was badly hurt from being stabbed by a mutant dinosaur-looking thing.
Arinus, Jias-Val, and the army they had brought had long since departed, though the dragon and Ancient were still lingering on Earth in case they were needed in the coming days.
Mailed feet walking across the ground drew everyone's attention. A heavily armored figure stood, glowing eyes shining out from under his spiked helm.
"Rakurai." Izin growled, crouching slightly. "It's over, so I suggest you leave."
"I merely came to deliver a warning." The Horsemen Incarnate rumbled, his voice chilling to the bone. "A storm is coming. This...pathetic battle is just the beginning. None of you can escape it, least of all those chosen by Fate and Destiny." His eyes lingered on Amira. "Do not let your guard down for even a second, lest your efforts here be for naught."
"And what do you mean by that?" Saren inquired in a low voice as Rakurai walked by. Rakurai paused, head turning as he regarded Saren.
"You, Saren Nihl, will find out very soon." Rakurai said. Saren could tell he was grinning maliciously. "I look forward to witnessing your Destiny fulfilled."
With that, the Horsemen Incarnate vanished in a wisp of black, acrid smoke.

Asim slowly turned his head to look at Amira as she asked if everything was okay. He had been standing by the entrance, watching the rain fall outside as he slowly contemplated his next move.
His dark eyes had a sad shine about them, he had suffered the loss of someone close to him and already that sadness was making way for a hardness. He was an evil creature essentially, and now he had a new drive that would consume him. None of this he felt like sharing with anyone. Least of all Amira, after all she had been through. He frowned as he thought about answering her question.
“I am glad you have made it.” He told her truthfully, but also his way of avoiding her question. He managed to force a smile, hoping to convey a sense that everything was okay after all. “Understand that I have lost my thrall. I was connected to her… I mourn her.”
Suddenly Asim heard the mailed feet and his attention turned with everyone else’s… -----------------------------------------------------------
“Too bad that bone didn’t end up getting shoved up Drake’s a$$. Then he truly WOULD have gotten what he deserved.” Nick smirked at the mental image he had just brought to his own mind. He felt a bit happier and more like his old self now that everything had drawn to it’s conclusion. He was gutted about Rachel’s death, but he never lingered on those that fell beside him. He wouldn’t have been able to cope this long and stay sane if he fell to pieces every time a loved one met their end.
Nick turned his head at the sounds of someone else entering the tent…
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Terri watched the Horseman incarnate as he delivered his message of warning. She felt her heart sink with dread at the prospects of more, possibly worse to come. She couldn’t help but turn her head to look at Saren as his destiny was mentioned. She had thought his part in the great scheme of things had already come to an end. In truth, it was only just beginning.
“Gods above!” Terri murmured. She sighed and a new look of resolve entered her young face. She had been sent her dreams for a reason, and until she found out that reason she would not let Saren Nihl out of her sight. She would follow him wherever he went to see if she could aid him.
“That’s it. I’m leavin’ this godforsaken dump of a city!” Nick snapped from somewhere nearby then stormed off angrily. Obviously not one that handled unwelcome news very well.
Terri also noticed that Asim had vanished during the Horseman’s speech. Another who didn’t seem to want to become involved in the new tidings. Or perhaps the Vampire Assassin had another reason for going? Deciding she would never know, Terri turned back towards the man who she saw in her dreams.
Approaching Saren Nihl, she smiled at him reassuringly. “Guess you’ll have to put up with me hanging around for a bit longer.”

Saren glanced at Terri when she approached, brow furrowed in deep thought. He grunted neutrally after she spoke, feeling a mix of emotions start rolling around as he thought of the young woman being near him for any longer than the end of the "conference". On one hand, he felt a rush of...pleasure and maybe joy?...as he considered having her be near. On the other, he felt a wave of dread--what if he lost control, and hurt her, perhaps even severely injuring or killing her?
"No." Saren finally said, looking over at Terri. "Go home. For your sake." He unfolded his arms, then strode out of the tent briskly. He didn't want to be there any longer...

Amira sighed at Asim but turned as a unknown man, a horseman walked into the tent. Listening to his words she releast another sigh. "Why can't I ever catch at least one break in between battles? That's all I ever ask dammit!"
Greek walked over to her and put a hand on her shoulder. "We are with you until the end Amira."
"We all are," Ardolf added.
Both men looked at one another. So much to talk about in such a small time. They hoped that they would get a chance too before all hell brought lose.
"What is this great battle you speak of?" Peanut asked. "Do you know who is behind it?"
Everyone focused on him curious about that themselves on what more that this man had to say.

(OOC: The Horseman has already disappeared in a wisp of black smoke Amira lol)
Terri watched Saren leave the tent. She had that sad, awful feeling in her stomach as his words reminded her that she truly had no home. She watched Amira’s followers pledging their loyalty to her cause and felt the urge to do the same. But the chosen one hardly knew her, would she even care if Terri offered to stay and help? Deciding to stay quiet for now, Terri finished patching up her last patient then stepped outside into the rain. She let it wash over her, cleansing her spirit as well as her body. She would stay in Red Blood City for now, she decided.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Throwing his pack over one shoulder, Nick came back out of the ruined mausoleum taking one last look as he went. He had tried so hard to get into this place and now it had been reduced to nothing more than a smoking ruin. He felt good though despite it all, he felt free. He knew now that Drake Von Cartesian had been the one who had treated him like a guinea pig all those years ago. With Drake dead, he was a free man.
He wandered back to Amira’s side. He smiled as he watched her friends make their vow to stick by her side. After all the chosen one needed her allies. He knew she would pull through anything the bad guys brought with them.
“Soo… Where you gonna live now that your crypt has been reduced to rubble?” He asked her, clasping her hand and giving it a squeeze.

Izin nodded to Amira and the others, then walked outside, Gwaed following. Voro would have to stay for a few days to recover his wounds, but other than that everything was good...for the moment. The Avatar of Fear and werewolf passed Terri, the rain splashing down her face. He nodded to her when she glanced at him, then put a hand on Gwaed's shoulder. The shadows enveloped the two, taking them far from Red Blood. ***** Saren was running, faster than ever before. He wanted to get out of the city, to flee from anything he might hurt. As he neared some of the larger buildings in Red Blood, he sprang at it. He clung to it like a human spider, then started sprinting up it. The glass and brick of the skyscraper cracked under his feet as he scaled the structure, arms pumping. He wasn't even breathing hard, let alone sweating. He finally reached the top, his momentum bringing him several stories into the air before landing on the edge of the roof with a loud thud. He stalked across the roof, making his way to the other side. Saren looked over the edge, gulping when he saw the massive drop. He breathed in deeply, trying to bring a calm over himself. After what seemed like an eternity, his mind stopped racing. He would hurt no one else. He would rid the world of his threat. He didn't care what Rakurai had said about his Destiny. His hands unclenched, his eyelids closing. He stretched his arms out wide, his ears hearing the bustle of cars down below. He sighed, picturing Terri's face in his mind one last time. He inhaled deeply, feeling the cold air go through his throat and lungs, making him feel alive. Ironic, when he thought about it, as he was going to stop living in a few seconds. The wind whipped past, sending a spray of rain drops onto his face. Just as well--he didn't want people to see the tears of his mangled corpse. And still he stood, the rain soaking through his clothes, making his short, earth-brown hair wilt and run with the pure liquid. He didn't want to die...but neither did he want to cause harm to others. He whispered something that could have been anything; even he didn't know what he had said. Thunder roared in the sky, forks of lighting flashing through the air. No. No more procrastinating. It had to end. Now. Saren willed his feet to shift so he was slowly tipping forward, his mind somehow becoming crystal clear as he started to fall into oblivion...
